Is Investment Banking still the Best Industry to Invest?

After the current financial market collapse in US with two big gaints Lehman brothers and Merrill lynch going bankrupt. do you still have this opinion that investment banking is the best industry to invest.

Looking at specific stocks in general, all indications point to the sentiment that investment banks present an excellent opportunity for future capital gains. It should be to no surprise that investment banks typically have the best return of any IPO put into the public market. While of course there will always be some exceptions, buying a few of these newly released stocks will almost guarantee a higher return on investment for your portfolio.

The common Indian is waking up to the ‘Lehman effect’. It might have taken longer for Indians to know that Katrina and Rita are not American celebrities, but when it came to Lehman, they are quite on the mark. The current situation shows a completely different picture of Investment Banking, it might get a lot worse before it gets better for the common man.
