You not only get the best candidate for the job but it's also the best value for money for the organization.

Do you all agree that a company runs on SUCH human resources?? I think differently. Initially it appears that you have hired such talent on affordable salary under this scenario. And you become happy that you have saved some expenses of company. Just add and see how much you have saved compared to a loss due to a demotivated employee whom you have recently hired. Such person probably would not take any initiative in company which falls in his area, although he would be discharging his responsibility. He would wait for a similar sort of situation in future when he would prepare to leave your company and laugh at you. And you would try that time to retain such talent by increasing even higher salary. Even more worst, when someone would leave a critical project in a midway. So just play it from different angle not only in money term. In place of adhoc step, try to expose your company's best feature and just be kind to them. Don't forget what you are expecting that such talent can do for your company is only possible when you give them a psychological boost. So as long as he is there would do all for your company with full potential. And I think HR policy should be to tap this potential only. So Do you think that hiring a talent whose full potential could not tapped is good move based on only that you can say outside that you have good talents???????

At this time when all other companies are into freezing and layoff of employees, its a very good time to hire people. Because at this time, people are ready to work in whatever salary they get. In that case, the advantage is with companies since they will get good talents in cheaper rates.

Its best time to get the best manpower in cheaper rate. The recession shown that the people are fired from the job but the skill which they have and the experiance which they have it can be hired from them on less cost because they did not have job and to run the family is also the task so we will get the best people in less cost and more work experiance person will work more efficently because of the job layoff in the market.

Yes, its the best time to hire. Companies who were not able to hire best talent as they couldn't afford them due to high salaries in the past few years , but now they can be hired due to the layoffs happening all over. The best talent can be hired at a affordable salary.

It may not be right since most of the companies are downsizing on the non core or support resources only which can otherwise done by retained individuals with an extra effort. Not all companies are letting go off their best talent available because of recession - this happens only with companies who are facing bankruptcy, takeovers or mergers.

I agree with Mr Khanna.

No company would like to remove the best talent at this time. Also the companies are in cost cutting mode so they definately would not like to have people with high salaries at this point of time.

Mr.Mishra I don't think companies will lay off their best talent all due to the slowdown. If companies won't lay off their best talent how will one hire the best talent ??. So its not the best time to hire when others thinking of layoff.
