The real estate market is still recovering from the asset price crash in 2008-09 with some of the key pockets either coming close to the peak prices of 2007-08 or even surpassing them as in the case of Mumbai. Although overall volumes continued to soften the performance of firms operating in Gurgaon within the Delhi NCR, pockets in Mumbai could see some upside in the coming quarters.

The top real estate players will post double-digit revenue growth for the quarter ended June over the year ago period. According to the average of estimates of four broking houses besides ETIG’s projection, top realty firms are expected to grow revenues by 18-20% over the corresponding quarter last year, primarily due to higher property prices.

1) There is huge amount of Black money ( Offcourse belongs to politicians ) in the Real estate market in India. This is evident from the fact that inspite of the flats/houses lying vacant for months - prices are not coming down and also the builders are not in hurry to dispose them. God knows who is financing them.

2) On Ground level - Geniune buyer or common man is not doing much transactions. The transaction happening are simply circular in nature to Hype the prices.
