Is it advised to make use on LINQ to SQL in projects?

Yes B'coz it address the impedance between prog Lang and SQL Vs No B'Coz it affects the perfomance of the application.

Yes, its helping a lot to do many of the database opearations easily & quickly. Just need to know the Lamda function well. I would definitely recommend LINQ.

LINQ has the power of quering on multiple data sources with out much difference in the syntax. It may some times experience the perfomance issues.. but taking its perfomance features into consideration, like deffered executions and Lazy executions, It is advices using LINQ, to filter data from the stored procedure, Qeuring the XML Data and Quering the Objects collection.
