Mehul great outlook! But Stock market is always best for medium to long term investments. Because In long term, returns will become high as well as less risky. And gambling option is always presence in stock market it is not new for market nowadays. But gambling in stocks are too risky and don't trade or treat market as gamble. If you 'll make a investors survey on this issue then you will get your answer yourself. Always invest for medium to long term period of time in stock market after making a small research on companies in which you are going to invest. Like fundamentals of company, order book, future plans, market, results etc.

Even then someone who are not interested to invest for long term due to present condition of market then go for SIP than direct investment in market.

In the book "Your money or your brain" Jaison Zweig feels lt and st investors make similar profits. Benjamin Graham though advises one to hold for long and Warren Buffet hold his investment for over 7 years.

I feel stocks yield more if held for longer.

The investor with a long- term perspective can also correct for mistakes along the way.  If you have a long-term perspective, you can change investments that aren’t working for other alternatives. So in all the way it is beneficial for the future....
