We need to change with time. As children we were all good and bad at times, some stay mischievous and others are plain and simple 'trouble-makers'. With CCTV's the teachers and management can keep a check on the students and likewise the students will be well aware that their actions are being monitored. Discipline will be inculcated indirectly.

hi sheetal, dont say about the inability of a teacher. Every classroom will have mischief students and it doesn't mean that teacher doesn't know that. No student is greater than his teacher.

Sorry, Mr Manoj, you might have recently heard the hue and cries in Hyderabad. One of US University had attached micro chips on Indian Students just for a watch.Though I agree with you on all accounts, but these GenX is of like that. The education fraternity and scholars have to move with times and students jeers should be taken in right spirits aka abuse of flirt.

This violates right to privacy...if anyone is doing something illegal..school/college authorities should be competent enough to find out. Though cameras can be installed at common areas to prevent crimes like ragging.

Have seen and experienced colleges and Schools misusing the facility. It is based on the premise that all are doing worng things and need monitoring and control. We are teaching all to work and perform only under supervision. That is the learning we want to impart. My vote a BIG NO.

no and never, it is like intruding the privacy in the name of technology. Surveillance in the name of tracking, lolz it is the Radio Frequency Identification kind of shit where your every move will be detected whether you are in the toilet or in the bed with your wife, every activities of an individual will be tracked and if it does happen, it is happening in some part of Mexico without the knowledge of the general public is the beginning of the much talked and now realized MARTIAL LAW.

CCTV is an instrument which help us if any crime is going on at that sight. for that point of view CCTV is very helpful. we can not think always that there are only honest peoples around us. and those they are not are very hard to find. It is a security channel That should be followed. But it is not necessary, It is totally the choice of atomosphere of the place. but you know that the word is full of uncertainities so i will prefer to use CCTV.

If cctv in classrooms, the freedom of the students will go on.the students will feel that they are monitored by someone.even the faculty will have trouble in classrooms while taking lectures.I'm experiencing it in my college.so i say that cctv in the classrooms are not necessary.

In our times, Schools were considered a holy place. There was sanctity involved. And now there is so little regard for this place. Students with weight of wealth come and attempt what they have witnessed in their leisure times and try to enact that in real life. In order to restore a sanity or order to life in schools, it must be adequately equipped to handle this sort of transgressions.

I feel "yes" being parents now a day’s, we fight with teacher & lecturer's that, they should not punish our children. But the clipping of student’s behavior surely make their parents and teacher without student’s awareness about cctv camera, To understand them and how to tackle the problem of each student. Either this can be solved at home or with counseling…..etc. The parent should never disclose about cctv camera, because today’s generation is fast. Each one has great human values, one should not disclose any thing about anywhere, even when the clipping is shown to parent, other than their child other children footage should be blocked. This needs high level of security. No files should leak out. The advantage in this is, where the children are growing up with only quality of time they are getting from their parents, so to understand the capability, improvement in which subject and over all nature of the children, it will help tremendously to the parents and teacher. The counselor can guide the parents, as well as teacher if needed. It’s truly a great one even to understand the teacher and lecturers. Rather than blaming, if at any point child lies, then we will know what step should be taken next without harming them. They are like flowers ,they will bloom to make a good human being to make incredible INDIA.School ,College and Home is a foundation, where we are moulding our children for their future.THEY ARE INDIA'S FUTURE.

yes, with the indoor crimes already on rampant, that sounds to be a good and viable option. The gen-Y is to be made sensitised here on the positive aspects of having these gadgets in place. This will also cut down upon the possible campus crimes and forge in more accountability and transparency into the system as everything is under scanner.

To some extent i agree with you but college n schools should have cctvs in specified areas only, our kids have to learn in these days to deal with such dishonest personalities and handle the uncertain situations because sometimes the wrong incident takes place in such a faster way that only the victim has to fight against it.

This is needed for many good reasons. 1. Safety of kids from outsiders and insiders 2. Mis-behav by teachers, senoirs or anyone 3. Self decipline will increase 4. Monitoring of kids and their behaviour us possible which will help the school to take the corrective actions promptly

The comments that both of you have given are from a students perspective. These days the kids have gone very violent. I have seen them dancing at the back of the teachers and doing a lot of nonsense activities . The most shocking things include 1. Love You notes in four line pages. ( that means they are in KG ) 2. Using abusive language. (Only God knows where do they learn that) 3. Bullying. (This is common and have become severe with time) After all this if we don't keep proofs parents won't even believe us.. It is for a good reason and not just like that.
