According to the experts, Investors should wait for another six months before looking for opportunities in commercial real estate, as valuations will fall further, whereas prices of residential properties are now attractive enough for end-users.

Valuations are still high and, therefore, returns are not attractive. Investors should wait and watch the price trend over the next six months, prices will come down by then and more deals will happen. But for end-users, this is the best time to buy residential property.

What are your views, whether it is the right time to invest in real estate one should wait for a drop in the valuation?

If you consider a long-term investment, real estate looks great. This is because since real estate is always at a high value and continues to appreciate over the years. While it is true that investing in real property could be a bit risky, this does not mean that you have to wait for the perfect time to do it.  However, weigh your options well and always exercise caution when your purchase. At present, there is the global financial crisis to worry about, but instead of avoiding an investment, look for the best way to invest that reduces the risks involved in purchasing a property. The key here is to build wealth and still the best way to do this is through real estate ownership, since property investing definitely pays off.

Waiting time should not result in sky-rocket home prices. I would rather prefer to invest at this time as economy might boom again next year 3 rd quarter and obiviously home price structure will go up then.

Recently the Dubai bubble has bursted and governments as also the financial institutions, including Banks are still busy to assess possible impact of the same on their operations. Obviously, the depth of the crisis is still to be assessed with precision. Certainly, the real estate sector is in trouble worldover, especialy in the context of U.S. crisis and forcasts about expected British agony in the shaping. It would be wiser step to look towards other avenues of investment, than to burn one's fingures in real estate.

I agree with Shilpa. It is realy admirable that a girl adjusts herself in a new family, takes care of husband, inlaws & other family members. I have seen a lot of examples including my family.
