if the Employer feels that we are not up to their mark or if they dosint have much works ahead will they retain us.....???will they pay us.....???if you are supporting the above argument then the employer should be capable enough to retain and protect there employees in any circumstances..they should periodically upgrade there status in all respects....failing to do so... job hopping will continue......

cmon, if we do not job hop then why do we need an HR to recruit??...job hopping is not bad as long as he/she is hopping for good reasons...i mean look at the brighter side of it...the potential employer benefits with the amount of exp. he brings in and the previous employer can now depend on some potential employee to take the co. forward with his invaluable exp. elsewhere...so who loses??none...if no one hops then, we would see the same ol' ideas being presented and the same ol' graphs in the MRMs denting the spirit to take the co. forward...think +ve..B +ve...

I think Job hopping is advisable. I agree to Punam Dutta that it is an area of headache for employers but employers are responsible for job hopping culture in India. If we want to stop job hopping (which is next to impossible in India) employers should not consider those profiles where there is no stability. Employees will continue job hopping because of new Lucrative compensation, Position, etc… There are very few employees in India who are nor LOYAL to their employees and stick to their company.

Job hopping after a resonable period of time from a company that does not give opportunity to grow as an individual or fails to provide enough exposure across departments within the organisation. At times monotony and repetitive work culture drains out the energy from the individual, and fails to motivate the individual who love to learn and feel activated while facing challenges. Every third month should definitely not be a trend, but 2 years a good enough time to stay in a company with a promising profile, and check for opportunities after that if they are not happy with the profile. Otherwise there would be superficial knowledge rather than indepth and experiencial knowledge.
