Is Kundli milan the right way to choose life partner?

Usually most of us before marriage ask the date, time & year of birth from our tentative life partner and then consult an astrologer for 'Gun Milan' to check the compatibility. 

Is it right to ignore the person's nature or character and go for astrological predictions for marriage?

Manik i dont believe in kundali matching.I does not guarantee of a happy married life.I think if understanding and family background matches then there is no need of kundali

Manik you're right. I agree with you. Astrology is a science which is wrongly described by a few hypocrites. Try astrological predictions on matchmaking and follow a few prescribed precautions before marrying a girl/s.

KUNDALI / ASTROLOGY to CHOOSE PARTNER 

Acceptance of Prarabdha is what our Vedas teaches in life. This has been reiterated by Lord Krishna when he told Arjun that he never comes in between the Karma and its Fallas.

God has created a system in this world where Karma and its fallas play its part and a person cannot escape it. You may see so many examples all around in your surrounding where person with Good Conducts also get pains in life. The Pain / Suffering may have  been because of the result of the deed what he may have committed in his previous birth(s) and he cannot escape it even though; he is a morally good person in this life.

Hence if as per Prarabadha, if a marriage problem is destined to happen; it will happen whether someone takes help of any leading Astrologer or not. No Kuandali matching can relive the Prabhadha – Life is not that easy. In ancient times, you will get so many stories of people getting knowledge of future happening from Astrology or AAKASHVANI but if you carefully notice, no one was actually able to stopp it despite their rigourous efforts.

Beautiful – Worship GOD without any form of strings or wants or desires as he is not the one to decide the fate but its your own KARMAS. LEARN TO ACCEPT AND FACE RATHER TO HIDE/RUN FROM IT – PERFOM KARMAS AS PER THE RESPONSIBILITIES (AS FATHER, AS SON, AS BROTHER, AS HUSBAND, AS AN INDIAN, ETC). SOMEONE HAS RIGHTLY SAID THAT IF THERE IS A HELL THAN IT MAY BE THE BEST PLACE AS IT ZEROS ALL YOUR BAD KARMAS AND HENCE U R READY FOR THE ULTIMATE GOAL OF ANY AATMAA I.E. MOKSHA

Kundali milan does not guarantee if the marriage be successful or not... It only depends person to person........In fact I should say that Person should not get married until and unless he/she is ready to accept the responsibilities. Ok if you strongly b'lv in it... go for Kundali matching... but do give a second thought that the person you are going to chose is the right person for you...???

Though I am not the believer of Astrology very much but If a person has Manglik dosh from Birth then it is good to have the gunas matched.

It is the matter of understanding and faith in each others for any succesful wedding life. Sometimes correct astrology just suggest us what to do accordingly or what not to do nothing else.... and that time also lastly we have responsible to do or not....

Kundali Matching does not help in choosing a right partner. Even if there is some scientific basis and the predictions are correct it simply does not help in a Modern world. Basis of Kundali Matching is to develop a male dominated society. They say in 36 Guna if at least 18 points you get then you can marry. Take for example Man with Deva gana can marry a girl of Deva an or Manushya gana but not Rakshasa Gana and you get point. on the other hand If a male has Rakshasa gana he can marry a girl of Deva Manushya and Rakshasa gana. That means Girl cnnot be Rakshas but boy can be, a clear male domination. SImilarly with other points. Gun Milap is nothing but helping to have a male dominated society where the girl is there to do slavery for him and his family and satisfy his biological needs in bed. You must have seen with education what ever be your Janma Nakshtra and Gana or other points Girls off today want to go for jobs, expect husband to help in managing the house including cooking and cleaning, look after the child and share the responsiblity. If after you do your engineering or MBA or medicine or any cource if you are madea simple housewife after marriage, dont you think it is national Waste? If girls wants to be house wife and becoame lazy and rule the home on husbands earning then why waste Nations money on educating them with eNGINEERING, mba etc. Instead we can have course in Nutrition CHild health, Home managment, May be Finance and Investment so that they can manage the house and take care of savings and finance of husbands sitting at home. Todays girls want a servant maid for taking care of children, an all rounder maid for cooking, washing, accompany the master during shopping etc. Then why they need a costly degree? So dont look at KUndali or consult Astrologer instead do the following: Examine if you and your future parnet can get along and help each other at home as well as at work if need be. The customs , eating habits, Food habits, dressing habits socialising habits of your familly can matech if not determine to what extent you can conpromise on this. If you are only daughter then can you and your husband share/ devote your time in both the places and what is the boys view on this issue. If you are earning the you have to spend that not for boys family but on your parents first. Another thing you have to do is bith of you get a medical check up done, Ensure no RH problem, DIabetic or any other medical history with the family. If you cannot conceive then dont go for costly mmedical procedures and suffer healthwise as well as financially. You can adopt a child. Ensure No unnecessary spending on marriage. I'd like to clarify what the question intends to ask."Is Kundali milan ONLY the right way to choose a life partner" - i'd say no. But "Is Kundali milan the right way to choose life partner" - i'd say yes. The proponents of 'Understand the partner before committing ' ideology , which is typically the way Western marriages take place, have higher rates of divorces than Indian marriages.And clearly certain zodiac matchings can be outrightly rejected based on proper reading of sun AND moon AND ascendant signs. And especially how do you account for people who were not lucky in love. Worse still, people who couldn't keep a love relationship and take it to marital vows. Such people are better off taking a look at the charts to explain why an attraction existed in the first place but it faded as time passed by. In fact the degree to which someone is amenable can also be determined from kundali. All in all, no one is asking you to be blind to practical realities of life today. But using that as basis to discard the arcane knowledge of using kundali correctly would be unwise.

I do believe in Astrology! so I believe in matching Kundli as well! Actually, An intelligent Astrologer can really predict things like Level of undersatnding and that is also upto some limit.

Astrology is a science which cannot predict second to second, hour to hour or day to day activities of a person but it can predict long term future outcomes. 

The body is made up of 5 elements and how these affect the life and traits of a person can be confirmed from his/her kundli.

Similarly, In marriage also it helps to predict the compatibility in long term, conception / child delay and cheerful relations. The whole astrology lies on the fact that the birth details of both the partners should be accurate.
