This topic keeps popping inside my brain time and again. But i think that it is good to leave India and look for outside for growth. With all due respect given to all sections of people,i dare to say that The ruthless Reservation system, corrupt beaurocracy and the general mentality of indian people really pose a big threat. At every step we encounter problems. To be more appropriate, civic sense amongst people has vanished completely.A developing person is put down by his boss, peers and in general society. Some may feel weird to hear this but this is gospel truth.A person who is talented doesnt get job because he is of General Category;though he/she may be poor, one cant get promotion because he/she is from upper caste.Law is made by those who toy with it every moment.Almost every system of India is so trashy that it becomes imperative to go outside in pursuit of one's goal.I am proud at those who left India after being put down by India itself.

Firstly, what makes a man to move out of India? Is it financial prosperty or pursuit of excellance in profession? In most of the cases, the pecunary end drives . Mean to say ,to have better living standard. Why are we not getting it in India, although many MNC's are paying well. We can say, in general, these MNC's are not teaching employees the art of living & enriching goals. Rather tend to exploit them to enrich their goals. Its should be clearly understood by young mind & lead their life towards enriching their life. If this point is clearly understood, with available education & jobs in MNC, living is immaterial where you live- be it france, london, chennai. The Way you design to live makes you all the difference. Learn right thing & practice it wherever you are , for the standard set in then you will see the wonder around you.

I support this statement. Look into the basics of going abroad or leaving the country. If I am happy in the house why should I leave it. Various other factors influence the life style to be more disgusting, boring, tensed atmosphere, and little short of piece of mind. The main reasons for this seems to be over population, faulty basic educational implimentation mechinary, lack of vision and political will and an innate desire to serve the country sincerely is missing from the people who govern and aprt from that the love of the land by the youth. Only the standards have gone beyond reach and thus expectations are also soaring very high. In such a situation it seems to be a better solution.

In response to the ever-declining status of the teaching profession, and its adverse effects on the country's educational system, the Federal Ministry of Education in Ethiopia introduced a policy of the teachers’ career ladder in 1994. While reformers believe that the introduction of the policy has improved the condition of the teaching profession, the net gains of the policy remain deceptive and even, in part, reduce some of the benefits teachers used to enjoy in the single salary scheme in the past. Among other things, central to the claims of the policy's advocates stands an improved salary scale for teachers. While this was admittedly true by the time the policy was introduced, the gain in salary raise has gradually been lost to the bureaucratic hurdles and watchdog structures erected to screen teachers’ eligibility at each stage of the career ladder. After critically assessing the major aspects of the policy, along with the voices of Ethiopian teachers, the current study argues that the policy of the teachers’ career ladder in Ethiopia is another prototypical case of a failed experiment both in terms of improving the lives of teachers and maintaining their professional rights.

I shifted to Muscat 3 years back with same aspirations that every young professional has, but believe me I am not sure if my career has progressed here in Muscat, Oman. The learning here is almost NIL and the way India has grown in last 2-3 years I envy all my colleagues who would have earned a bit less but then gained more than me in knowledge and experience.... Yes getting a right job is difficult in India with so much of competition, but then once you get some good years of experience Career and professional Growth is best in INDIA!

To get a job of your choice, well paying and to have a clean atmosphere for learning – All this with the comfort of staying with your family, friends and relatives. Are we not expecting a bit too much to happen within India or any other country for that matter? Why just IT, the feelings are same in all segments of work sphere. Some countries happen out of choice, some out of compulsion. But if luck gives you a workplace with options of learning new skills with better pay and good working atmosphere, it takes your personal life away from you. Savita, I don not agree with your views as try and see the success stories herein. The numbers of successful professionals would be exceedingly higher than those who had gone abroad. To make a quick buck and return to your homeland is the most preferred criteria amongst the aspirants. No, leaving the country is certainly NOT the only solution for rising the career ladder, but yes, certainly THE ONLY solution for strengthening your finances.

the topic for discussion lays stress on " the only". I agree with all people who say working abroad is a great career boast for any individual and obvious reasons are the clean work atmosphere, judgement of the individual by their skills not by caste and background and blah blah and more of growth opportunities. but i would beg to disagree that healthy growth is only possible baroad. Off late there are compnaies in India also that are giving clean atmosphere to Individual with skills to grow and grow rapidly. Obvious we should keep the monetary aspects away from this discussion. we should discuss this only on the basis of satisfaction. Here i would like to state that the so called malise working condition of India is the result of our own wrong doing and we and we are the people solely responsible for this.

Friends Our Indian Industry provide employment opportunity in all areas and now the penetration of industry has also entered mid/small towns. Working in India enables: - To be proud to work for your own country
- Considering the affordable cost of quality-living, even our Indian salaries even provide for saving (building capital/property)
- You can afford further studies (part-time) to enhance your carrier opportunities
- Possibilities of going up the organization's ladder are much higher in comparison to your colleague who has gone on long overseas posting, because out-of-site may mean out-of-mind.
All the above is really true in knowledge based industries e.g. IT (software development). Regards rcgoyal@avrms.com
