Stock market is going up after a big fall in 2008 and sen sex has touched 16000. It shows that Indian market is improving. so is this market holding potential for long term investors?

Economies like U.K,U.S are finding it difficult to come out from recession which would effect the over all global economy. So it will Include India also and for a short period there would be volatility in the market because of that. This scenario would provide opportunity for the long term investors.

I don't think market is holding potential for long term investors as reduction in foreign institutional investor (FII) inflows depressed the market. There was profit-booking at lower levels . Still the investors eager about the global economic recovery leading to profit-booking at every rise.
