This is a weird trend being followed by many these days.

According to me an MBA should only pursued after a few years(atleast a few years) of professional experience. Only then will one truly understand and be capable of practical application and utilization of what is learnt during an MBA. Fresh graduates doing an MBA makes me wonder :) How can one be a supposed "Master of Business Administration" when one has no experience in administering or managing a business at all!

Regards,

Om Deshpande

I dont think it is wrong. However, as Mr. Om Deshpande opined it is more beneficial for those who pursue MBA after gaining a few years on hand experience.

Studying Management courses will help us to know to understood how to manage, make use of the technical skills that we have.there is no use of technical skill if we haven't got a field and chance for applying it in the best way..

Managerial skills are a requirement in just about every profession. So it is the correct thing to do. In fact it should be integrated in to the engineering course itself.

As MBA after B.Tech enables a grad to acquire both mangerial qualities and technichal qualities, so a B.tech  grad has an advantage. Hence MBA after B Tech is definetly fine.
