see due to such merger liability / indemnity get distributed hence to meet this one has not bear loss of large capital/ revenue. say for example big liabilities always covered by more than on insurance company.

Merger or takeover shows growth and competition which is good for the industry and as long as interest of policyholder is well protected and their terms are not changed it is acceptable. Any industry needs to be flexible and cant afford to be so rigid.
