But no comparison.The motive behind this is a man who got money and fame needs power to sustain it. Only politics is the platform for it. So Baba is being influenced by the Political parties. Well, raid was justified because baba was playing bad game of politics..with people on one side he was on the fast and on other side his letter showing deal with the government..i think baba felt that if he end his so called anshan soon it will hamper his popularity in public. Secondly he was trying to play communal call by calling leaders of RSS.. I think his demands are right but he is using those demands for his own political benefit as he has already announced his political party..

Mr. Harikiran.M I really appreciate your effort and to back you up the motive was deviating from anti black money to pro politico ambition as per the news channel reported when a minister called up a person there at ramleela maidan to get the report of proceedings around 11:15 pm or 23:15 IST, so it is clear that no one was sleeping at that point of time and Ramdev and his supporters are telling sheer lies about the cops being aggressive rather what I think they must have turned aggressive and the cops are trying for a sort of self defense for which the cops have got full authority and rights for defending themselves by any means. Moreover there were only tear gas shots and were negative gunshots which is in the rule book and ethical that there can use water hose or tear gas in case the crowd gets violent.

Dear readers I would like to bring one point clearly to you. If there is one person to be blamed for the happenings at ramlila maidan then it is baba ramdev himself. People just hang on the outline that he is fasting against corruption. First see clearly to what extend are his demands practical. Any government in the world cannot bring down back black money in a day or two or neither can frame rules in a single day particularly in a democratic like India nor ban its high currencies notes in a fortnight. It takes time and still baba ramdev has himself said that the government has agreed to above 90percent of his demands. He should have called off his fast and should have given time for remaining demands to be meet. But what kind of man he is to start an indefinite fast according to public but giving assurance to govt that he would end fasting by evening of june 4th itself. There is no need to start such a fasting like that. And later when he has not kept his words and with increasing security concern the government has to take such a step. Even I pity for those who were injured during raid but its not the government fault its that the supporters were blindly lead by baba ramdev.

Hey Mr. Ravinder Sharma, We are, undoubtedly in democratic country. Thats why we all reasoning out so many things in debate in public, rally, networking as we do here. Most important thing is that there is a limit for everything. A little hay has limited capacity to bend and at the same time, if you bundle up, its endurance increases. So does Govt activity. Given enough opportunity to an individual who is supposed to represent the people for corruption but, he failed to bring the desired result as a normal man expected . But , rather he intend to usurp the situation for himself / any other party. This can not be accepted either by a guy or the party who called for negotiation. Everything was conducted in a fairly free environment as, normally , happen in democracy. So as far as I am concerned, I see that the deal was in line with democracy . What I expressed is my opinion, not of any court . If you say it is with Supreme court, let it come out with a verdict. No harm in it. It is there for you & me. This lively discussion is to high -lighten facts lying beneath the drama. So that every one knows in the correct perspective. That's what a democracy is.

Hey, Mr. Ravinder Sharma, A guy was sleeping in a public place unnoticed & police disturbed them , then it may be discussed very broadly. In this case, there is nothing to be discussed as he violated the Regulations of the Delhi Govt , that issued a time-permission. AND SECONDLY, HE NEGLECTED THE PROMISE OR THE AGREEMENT THAT HE COMMITTED TO THE PARTY where he himself was negotiating(Govt). He openly said most of the terms are agreed by Govt. It is only a question of revoking the fast as per the negotiation he made to people who are representing the Govt. But, he went back in words. He delayed, firstly, revoking the fast, secondly, violated the notice issued to him for the conduct of yoga training thirdly, purposefully, for personal or any other ulterior motive created a scene for melee. These things are not at all palatable by any high ranking admin. guys. If his interests are for the people, he should have paved a better way for improvement in the negotiation further in the later stage. As a sadhu, he is respected that does not mean that he will challenge the govt out-rightly as I pointed out here in the afore said paragraph.

It was totally justified. Once the police reach the spot they have asked Ramdev to come to them and surrender but at this point of time ramdev has asked the people in and around ramdev to stop the police to come up to him this resulted in lathi charge and firing tear gas shells. Incase ramdev would have given in without making any noise the thing would have been different. After all ramdev runs 34 companies so he knows how to tackle things.

For all practical purposes, a Yoga proponent like Baba Ramdev did not intend to die hungry through fasting. He threatened to fast through a good cause but look at what he received.. Four powerful cabinet ministers of the union government, who collectively can even suggest forcefully to the Prime Minister, met him at the Airport and the government subsequently gave a proposal in writing. At this level, Ramdev can not accuse govenrment of neglecting the importance of the cause. The government has shown all seriousness. Why - the government actually displayed concern and fear of the outcome of the fast. Baba at this stage should not have pushed government to the wall. What happened next in the Baba refusing to stop the fast was politics. It became a BJP and RSS program. This had to be dealt with and the government acted. The dividing line between crusade and politics is very thin. Very few people can maintain the distinction between crusade and political mileage. When the line is crossed, he is just one more political aspirant. If the Baba has harmed his own cause, he had a wonderful opportunity to be a crusader, he alone is responsible.

Well My questions directly to all those who are supporting this "Dhongi Baba" or the "Dramatic Dharna" by him :- 1) If the so called "Self made yog guru plus God is such a potential trainer then why he didn't used some real advanced techniques of Yoga like a "samadhi" or the "Jar Yog"? 2) If he is claiming it as a Satyagraha then why on earth he feared arrest? He must have happily accepted the arrest like M.K.Gandhi did? 3) If he is true man then why he took the ladies grown and was out in disguise? 4) If he has accepted the "Gayruwa Vastra" then why is he concerned what is happening to this world and whose fundamental rights as in Hindu religion the attire is worn by the people who has intendedly left all the "Earthly pleasures and rights" according to our religious texts like sastras ? 5) Even after declaring a Satyagrah in delhi how dare he book a place on account of "Yoga Shivir", isn't it a fraud for which he deserved this treatment? 6) Everybody is condemning the government's move against women and children then my point is that who invited them? and are they not grown up enough to understand the sensitivity of an area like this? Mr.Rahul Gandhi can tour Uttar Pradesh and instigate public against Mayavathi Government.Mrs.Sonia Gandhi and Congress leaders are free to tour non congress states and campaign to destabilise existing Governments. Government at centre can use the Governor of Karnataka as a pawn to dethrown democratically elected State Cabinet.If all the above unreasonable actions are justified by the centre, why not Baba Ramdev's reasonable Protests are not justified.Since because Baba Ramdev is a Sadhu, his right to protest is not denied. He is a citizen of India first and Sadhuhood is next.In India, Sadhu's played active part when Rajya Dharma is at Peril. Samartha Ramdas trained Shivaji to establish chaste social order. Swamy Vidyaranya was the main cause to establish Vijayanagar Empire.If we go deep into Indian History,we find more examples like this. Now our Bharath is undergoing alot of acid tests like Terrorism and Corruption. In both the fronts,our existing Government miserably failed. The Government which took oth to protect the rights of common man is not going in a right direction. Like fencing eating the grass,responsible Ministers amassing thousands of crores of public money and other ministers took power of attorney to support their deeds.It is the time to wake Public from slumber. Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev are doing the same. Every responsible citizen should react for it and support their agitation.

I totally agree with Mr. Sharma. It is always better to do something for the country than to find fault with others. The people who stood up and are doing something good for the country, we should support them. After all, it is beneficial to all Indian citizens and not alone Baba Ramdev or Anna Hazare. The point here is that they are not trying to become hero by doing this kind of publicity rather they are trying to do something good for the country. We should focus on the purpose for which these kind of Annshans are being done not on the persons who are doing this. We should support ideas, not people.

One must try to learn the difference between democracy and autocracy to roll out the justification. it is not only unjustified. it is also aginst law, human rights and constitution of india. They just do what the british do in the name of law and order. The total satyagrah was very peaceful with very heavy corwed. what was the need of midnight raid when the people was sleeping? The police misbehave with women, pull their clothes and hair, take them out from washroom according to the women that was there. is it right to do so? is it not a shame for democracy? Why they are not declearing the black money as national treasure and doing step towards it? why they are playing also with anna hazare? why they are not ready for direct telecast of lokpal samiti meeting? if they are honest they can do all these things. we have to think why they are not doing all this? are they protecting anyone by not doing this? i s the list that swiss bank gave to them contains name whom they want to protect? whose black money is in the forign banks? according in the light of all these qutionarrie the govt. action is very very unjustified and against law.

hello Sarika,it is totally unjustified.i don't know what was the urgency or need to Govt.to act that swiftly that too which is against its own lethargic nature in everything!!remember the same mid-night arrest drama that took place in Chennai some years ago.(Karunanidhi arrested in same way by then CM Jayalalitha)it took almost 2 terms for her to win TN assembly.legally she was right in arresting Karunanidhi then!! but,people took it other way,thanks to extensive media coverage.even now things are not different.

Well Mr. Ardhendu, I guess you are debating for some different topic here. The debate was whether the action of the government justified. There were almost 150000 followers other than Baba Ramdev who felt the heat. What do you have to say about the Tear Gas shells attacks on the sleeping public (I am not including LATHICHARGE here as the government version of story tells it didn't happen)? Which constitution tells it's humanity to vandal a peaceful sleeping public? TIME TO DO A BRAIN WASH BOSS!!!
