Mobile marketing is definitely getting a lot of press lately and is set for significant growth. Mobile is definitely emerging as the next media channel for marketers and advertisers and that the time is now to get involved. You definitely need text and text reply, as these have been shown as the most  effective and highly used interactive mediums.

List building, list rental and list brokering are a mine field and I advise all of my clients to steer well clear. No matter how good the opt-in for 3rd party messages may be a consumer who receives a message from a brand they don't recognize is likely to consider that message SPAM. The potential for  brand damage is high but the real issue is that most consumers will not respond to mobile SPAM from brands they don't recognize or trust.

There is no way they can crack this segment of phones even though they are leading in the world market in  mobile phones.  As there are too many players to compete with, there is RIM, and nwo Android phones to content with htc,iphone,palm pre, no way...
