Recently a person with a CTC of Rs 40 lakhs in a US headquartered multinational resigned his job and went US to join another job through a job contractor for just $ 65000 CTC. If its the money then he was getting more in India than the new offer. It is the basic honesty, the quality of life, respect for not only rights but also duty as a citizen that makes Indians chose other countries. Our ranking as a failed Nation has gone down from 87 to 79 this year (Somalia Number 1 and Norway 177) indicating situation in India is worsening. Curruption is rampet Goonda elements are ruling us making good, honest and inteligent people as their puppets. it is better to be a slave in another country where human values are given priority and you are allowed to live peaefully rather than be a slave of dirty politician who rules you in your own country. Thats why people have started deserting India. It is sad

If this would have been true then we would have no scientist working in India, no good manager(including yourself Saurabhji) working for a PSU. The work environment, oppurtunities and the thirl in the job along with the money is responsible...

May be money but that is not all. Individual may have better chance for carreer / studies. Might have different mental make-up to live with.May be family circumstance that he is forced to move out & earn his bread as his members are doing . May be opportunity more & easier for survival, May be corporate organisation dislocate him due to administrative rehase like this many factor plays a role. But, what we see outwardly is the charm of money.

Money is not the consideration for brain drain. The main reasons being the recognition of merit and opportunities for growth. There being no system of reservations on the basis of caste, creed and religion in any other part of the world.

Money is not the "only" reason. Standard of living, security of children, non-corrupt society, well structured education system r few of the factors that drive the brain out of india.

money is Secondary reason of draining the brain actaully first reason is that, what respect and way which they intend to do the work here. They are unable to find here. That's why they rather than contribute they would like go from here and do the work there where they will able to get all the resouses and necessary things.

Brain drain can be directly associated with a desire to lead a comfortable and luxurious life, hence money, lots of money

Thanks for the referral Mr.Saurab Awasthi. In my opinion money is one of the factor.Every individual wants recognition and appreciation for the assignment/target/work executed. In the absence of the two one will not be motivated and as a result the drive to work will not be there. Of course money plays its role but not in the first place. Every human being likes to be appreciated first.

Brain Drain occurs on account of various factors like benefits available, money, recognition, facilities, personal aspects, etc. Money is not the only motivating factor. To counter brain drain, the basic facilities and human elemental factors need to be improved. Currently, reverse brain drain is being observed as the Indian economy is growing and the international economy is getting saturated. However, in this case, the money factor is much lesser in India as compared to the benefits received at the international level. However, people are still returning to India on account of various factors which does not necessarily include money.
