I would say window shopping has been very effective and economical and refreshing as well and thus it never gets affected by any other means of shoppoing.

I think that due to cheaper internet connections and charges evey one is able to do online transactions as well online shopping. Now there is less no of students or family on the road who enjoy window shopping while at the same time they enjoy ice cream. I think those days have gone now. People find it easier to do online shopping compared to windowshopping. They can search any brand from all over the world also can compare the prices without going anywhere. So it is time consuming but not entertaining.

Yes. It is the best to do online shopping. As it saves time, people in today s date do not have much time to go and look for the things so they book the product online and it is at their door step. They need not go looking for the product. It is simple and easy to do online shopping..

I support your statement, Virag. On line shopping is very risky & I already have very bad experience for it.

If we see as at a macro level then its NO..bcoz in India people still feel the product, see the product, touch the product before they make final purchase decision. Online shopping helps in identifying the product sitting at home but most of the final decision is still taken place at the market place. But yes, if discounts are provided in online shopping then its vise versa. For example, I see the book at shop and if i get online discount then i buy it online else buy it from the shop.

Right now I would say, online shopping in India is at a very nascent stage.Even if people would like to buy things online, there aren't any popular or friendly sites that can attract online shoppers as compared to countries like UK and US where there are specialist sites available for anythng you would like to shop for and are majorly owned by big product chains which have a significant physical presence in market. So I think its way too soon to compare window shopping with online shopping in India.

Online Shopping. 40 percent population of our country is below the poverty line. online shopping is for just few percent people i think the amount will be in points. then how it can create downfall.

No, not at all. Even though online shopping provides items to buy online it does not give experience of watching it closer. It is just a virtual view. But absolutely advantageous in terms of time.

Online shopping has been a good experience in recent days.Customers are just a click away from the product/services and it's need of the hour as getting time for shopping is becomming tough now-a-days.However, this not going to creat a downfall in window shopping. What customer get in visiting a shop is tangibility & physical appearance. While in online shopping it lacks. Customer gets a bit skeptcle about above mentioned features. There is no supporting evidence to show a decrease in foot-falls in malls.

High Street Shops use a variety of means to attract shoppers, such as striking window displays, huge red "Sale" sign and special promotions. Online Retailers also deploy similar techniques to entice people to their websites and to make a purchase. In the internet booming years, online retails competed on price, but today you pay the same price online as offline. Only difference is made up by the delivery charge. Whoever reaches the consumer faster strikes the deal.

No. I don't think online shopping would have an impact on the window shopping. as people are happy in going around shops and look for things , They want to know what is new in the market. So window shopping would not have a downfall. As online shopping cannot be safe all the time, as any one can misuse our details. So I think window shopping is still the best when compared .
