Interesting debate, I think medical test is the better option.

Today to live a happy life we need good health, so instead of seeing this kundali you can go for a health check up. If both of them are healthy and they like each other they can marry. Kundali is just a belief and we can't say everyone married by seeing this are happy.....

So try to be practical....... :)

Yes, it can be.  There is no harm in that because a healthy woman and man creates a healthy family and healthy families makes a country healthy. Perfect kundli matching is one sort of awareness about the partner's stars. I don't know why people are irritated of this thing.  Jyotish is also one sort of science. I know people are not carrying their kundlies in the love but how many love are successful? Only few use to get their true love otherwise most of all are loosing. I think I am taking debate on some other path. Let me come back and say that there is no harm in Kundli matching + Medical test of the partners

kundali is of paramount importance as :: energy levels = bpu = thought match = planned kids = contribute to society as better humans .. else random marriage = random kids = labor or criminals .. so we need planned marriages & kids in the interest of entire india.

Even less than Jyotish vivaha considerations should sufice. It is all natural. Just as rose comes together with petals and thorns in varying ratios, so as we. No doctor or astrologer can replace the force that attracts us together. Given a choice, I'd rather pick my rose according to my own liking.

(however, I am in depth familiar with Jyotish constraints ;) )

Indian Astrology provides a time tested procedure of Kundali matching (horoscope matching) that has proved to be extremely reliable since time immemorial.  

In modern times there is also emphasis on getting medical checkup for physical compatibility between the couple. There is no harm in following both procedures.

platonic love ?? Does it exist? And also who are you or who am I  to tell the couples if their love is platonic or hedonist? You just cannot walk to them and say "hey your love is not platonic" If there is love of course there will be a degree of hedonism, they will seek pleasure...   If the thing between them is all about hedonist, they won't actually marry at first place ! If it is not about seeking pleasure alone and emotions are also involved they will eventually marry .. only those couples actually marry other terminates the bond. Kundli - is a psuedo-science. Therefore putting decisions like marriage on "Kundli" is downright idiotic ! And yeah the argument of getting potency test done actually means you are not going into marriage, you are going into an agreement meant to produce kids !! With advent of technology couples now can easily borne kids despite infertility issues !

I hope you are just being sarcastic or be kidding otherwise yeps you have given the most irrational argument in this most irrational debate. Rukmani married to Shri/Lord Krishna without any such planning so did Sita and Rama ... I do not see the problems you mentioned with them and their kids !! 

And few people here may take it as personal offence who are in love with someone and plan to marry someone without giving a damn to KUNDLI ! And what in the world makes you think that if kundli matches "thoughts' will also match ?? And love marriages are also "planned" and in them also kids are "planned" by the couple involved. better you keep your hallucinations and derivations out of those hallucinations away from debate forums !

Actually I want to RUBBISH this debate and topic !! I am not in favour of even "No only kundlu matching is sufficient" it just so outrightly rubbish debate  Comparing a psuedo-science with science?? GROSS !! absolutely GROSS !! And matching Kundli ??? really ?? do people walk with their kundlis before falling love?? this whole topic is embarrassment to science and philosophy!

So if kundali is k+he/she is potent = happy family?? what if they have AIDS do u still have happy family? Side issue - ever heard of something called ADOPTION its a wonderful concept - oh and it allows "BIOLOGICALLY IMPOTENT ELEPHANTS" to have kids and "GIRLS TO BECOME WOMEN"

Well lets get to the point here, since the days of no pre marital sex are over, it would make absolutely sense to go through a medical test prior to marrying or even before getting in to a steady "living with each other" relationship. I personally do not believe in the kundali thing but do respect the people who do. The fact is you cannot change what "they" say about your Kundali, but you can have a direct impact on your medical/health situation based on the actions that you take.
