It's inadequate.

I agree Pallavi, that practical inputs are pathetically missing.

No post graduation, whether academic, vocational or professional makes a student job-ready, either in terms of social skills, or even, sadly, technical skills.

Also, sad to note that our education system has given you no sense of language,

U answer Ur own question "Is our education system right"

as "YES, it is totally wrong"

:(

The educational system should be vocation based. There are so many degrees awarded which do not direct a candidate in deciding the career path

@all : I think parents should be kept out of the system then only it can improve, as we all know it has degraded over years and when we used ti study parents used to monitor just monitor our education at home. but no involvement in school activities or school decisions..... but now a days they have started behaving like hippocrats.. which affecting the schooling system at a large....

I feel system is getting better day by day. It has flexibility and some amt of freedom. The most important there are many options or carrier to choose today than it was not 1 decade earlier.

Our education system is very perfect but the people those who are working in ground level is not understanding the importance of education. mostly they are working for salary. most of them are working mechanicaly they have to implement everything what they have learnt.

I am a teacher and I would not say it is wrong, but it isn't right either. it just needs certain modifications. education has become a commercialised product, and the consumers fall for so-called lucrative, but well advertised foreign products, which makes them look down upon their own product.

exams and grades are based on mostly theoretical knowledge and in practicals everyone is copying assignments so  nothing practical is understood anywhere

Hi, ankush as you said now a days "education is business ". suppose we consider education is business then there is nothing wrong if you are student (consumer) i mean you can get value and competitive advantage

I believe there is System but No Education. there should be a good blend of text book education and training, without practical training education is incomplete.

Well we can not say about education system. but there is a lack of concept in the education books. They didnt give the chance to think to a student specially in the some English Board. Most of the student try to only repeat the matter of the book without no understanding or concept building.

No,Our education system totally failed.See if anyone wants to develop our system,no one support to him.Bcoz some of one need money,so there is no scope for development.Government will provide a sufficiant system, when comparing to govt schools/Colleges with private schools/Colleges we know the difference easily.

well although we are adding new things like grading, abolishing boards in 10th but these are noway making education better ,i think it is making students more relaxing and carefree about studies. on the other hand mushrooming of college is also taking future of students at stake.these colleges only bother about money making education worse. no course gives guarantee for job instead creating students who don't want to work at low salary they only want white collar jobs taking India top in unemployment.what i think education should be such that students will be able to open their own small industries if not able to get job.we have to change this scenario and take education to its practical level

Indian Education System or system for more unemployment.B4 my engineering i was thinking like this "I love India but I hate the education system. I do not want to mug up unnecessary details but want to concentrate more on learning the information and keeping it for life! That's what education is all about. I know a lot of you will say that Indian colleges are not below in quality but I hated the system and I want to experience something new and easier and more innovative!"but i couldn't do, i am an electronics engineer & i have not seen the hidden part of electronics devices or i can't rectify the problem..

The education system doesn't teach a purpose of learning, there is no creative kind of study. Its only focusing on "Money". We have to change this system entirely...

The present system is based on too much rote learning, too much stress on exams, no focus on all-round development. Also there is lack of practical knowledge as mentioned by Pallavi.

now a days education is a business. primary thing is the money secondary things comes later.the whole system is corrupted for this and the students are not getting the proper education (theoretical plus practical). now the time has come to change this whole corrupted system otherwise there will be dark in the near future.
