Marketers are now concentrating youth who is a new class of consumers in India. So here marketers have to do pricing strategy for their product according to the young consumers willingness to pay. Is price a constraint for young consumers?

although the income level of the youth is on a rise, price still remains a constraint because the cost of living is also increasing.but nevertheless, young consumers are brand conscious in some cases which makes price not an issue for them.

Propensity to consume is increasing day by day, no matter what comes on their way, pricing policy should be the key differentiator to penetration strategy.

we cannot say no to this quetion. Be practicaL. I will accept that we are earning. But still budget that matters. Based on his income people buy something. He spent accordingly. For example everybody like armani suits, which are custom made. People wanted to buy these kind of things. But everybody are not affordable. so in my opinion price is a constraint for young consumers.

I think young customers are not so affected by brands only amd also not very constraint for the price. They invest on branded products for many reasons like warrenty or quality...

In my opinion young consumers in India are highly influenced by brands and they are not concerned about the price. EMI schemes, credit cards etc are also encouraging them to buy goods at high price. More over now most of the youth are earning .

If youth being satisfy from product than price is nothing matter e.g. they can expend money in multiplex instead of theater

The young consumers are really well off today than what we were, when we started off in our respective careers :-). They are driven by tv, media, facebook and twitter trends. so if they like it (and peers like it too )they will do everything to have it. price is immaterial, it is the power of the purchase

I think in India majority of the youth are from middle class family and because of that they are more concerned about the price they are paying for a product. They go for big brands of high price only when there is a big offer or discount, For eg: 2 levi's jeans for Rs 1000.
