Mr rathin i don't want to make any more comment on this issue. All of you are more experienced than me. But Neither congress/UPA has declared(Mr. Rahul) that nor the BJP(Mr. Modi) so far. The issue will come to raise after the person show in lime light. I just want to ask one question from all please answer that "WHO WILL KNOW BEFORE ELECTION OF 2004 that Sh. MANMOHAN SINGH WILL BE OUR NEW PRIME MINISTER".UPA win the election without any particular name of PM WHY ? WHY WE(INDIAN) PEOPLE VOTE THEM ?? Because Indian politics is more ahead from our thoughts. We can't judge before any happening. It totally depends on situation, alliances, opposition and other future aspects of political party. We are discussing here about our new prime minister by name but if both of them will not fight the election for the seat of PM then?? WHY NOT WE ARE DISCUSSING ABOUT THE MAIN QUALITIES OF OUR NEW PRIME MINISTER RATHER THAN NAME BEFORE DECLARATION AS PM?? That is onlt the reason i am saying that before declaration of name any of person as PM is worthless but after that it will hot issue to discuss as like we seen in the case of Mr. Atal Vihari Vajpayee. BJP & alliances won the election under the his name as PM. Till now if you are not satisfy with the points then i don't want to hurt anybody because i am not single one Indian in the country there are more than 1 Billion of people to discuss......

History is replete with so many young leaders who went on to leave their mark. If Barrack Obama can lead the world, then so can Rahul Gandhi. His name gives him credibility for him to build upon through his work. But PM-ship should not be his as a matter of right, but there is no denying that he is well-placed to take over this role. The question is of when. Narendra Modi may be capable, but then his culpability in the Gujarat carnage of 2002 is beyond doubt. In any case, like LK Advani before him, Modi is a divisive leader. Their politics is one of intimidation and destruction. Outside of Gujarat Modi will never be accepted, just as LK could never become PM. We have to accept this fact.

Sorry Mr.Rathin Deb but, u need to visit Gujarat & see the development. Best roads, gardens, education, water, electricity, Science city etc...& business developement is for people from all cast & creed. Mr Modi has no time for a secular divide like the congress. Gujarat is one of the safest state in India & It is unfortunate that we educated people start believing the meaning of the word secular as suggested by the congress. KHAM theory has being followed by the congress for ages. Divide N rule is the art of congress. Again, Ramdev Baba is on the mission to bring about good governance and with his support base across India there is all the possibility of Mr.Narendra Modi becoming the next PM of India.

I support Rahul as the future PM may be after the term of UPA-II. He is now a matured and cool guy with enough political experience. I am supporting him not because he is from a political family which had given 3 PMs to India but he is a young and cheerful man who wants to learn thoroughly before taking the mantle. Today's world is looking for young and energetic people to lead the country. However, he could be effective only if a single party or at best with two parties rule the country and not a coalition like this as most of the coalition partners are absolutely ineligible not only to rule the country but to become an MP.

I have a strong opinion that Rahul Gandhi should become the next prime minister. It is very assured of the fact that he is that sort of leader who is very hard working, and at the same time he is that sort of person who is also very liberal, supportive and with a lot n lot of innovative ideas. He is one person who has the capability to change the political image of our country. It is the right time that now India has a dynamic young leader who can think differently and act accordingly to bring about change....

Thanks for the referral Mr Sachin, I think Rahul G is a good candidate to become the PM, if not the next but in the near future. What we need is leaders who are young, dynamic, have a wide vision. Today the country is understanding that an educated young politician is better than an elderly uneducated one. Once a person is educated he has a different approach to solve problems which he/she takes up at the root level. Agreed that Rahul G is young and inexperienced but is not US,the country whom we all look up to, being run by a young President, and he is doing fairly well, so why not our Rahul G

Yes....he may well be or soon become. However there is a serious problem of credibility because of comments about dynastic succession based on the past history of his family. In order to overcome this he should possibly do at least a 2 to 4 year term as a minister and then rise to become the PM. If he does this route and reaches the spot in about say 2015 or later, i can see him getting practically a default acceptance from the people. People today are different from the people of yester year. Ancient family history can actually act against him.

I believe there are much senior and better politicians in congress than Rahul gandhi .. like Nitesh kumar etc. Then why Rahul Gandhi ? We need results and PM who can produce results ... Do you believe that we are in a position to decide these things? If you feel so, Im so sorry. Irrespective of your mandate, things will take its own shape - that is our democracy. People has no voice. Their right seizes as soon as they vote a candidate. The candidate after getting elected may hop to opposing party deviating the mandate. They need to be sacked. Right to call back is required. When you are not in a position to decide, it is not worthy for us to discuss.

I don't think it's a right india to project Mr Rahul gandhi as india's next PM.Just take out Gandhi out of the name and you will have an idea of his political stature.we are yet to see his leadership skill.i think it's better for him to go and become a cabinet minister or for that matter a chief minister and show the world ,what he is capable of doing .Apart from this ,i think dictatorship prevails in congress as they can't think beyond gandhi clan.Mr gandhi recently campaigned in bihar for cogress but the performance of congress was dismal. He is overhyped.he has talked alot about some trivial issues but why he is toungetied at some very serious issues like corruption,2G scam,Black money, is hard to digest.i think Mr Modi and Mr kumar have everything which a good PM should have.hence i think BJP should try to spread it's wings to southern states, bengal, north east and regain the lost confidence in minorities.it should also try to consolidate it's presence in UP,maha, raj and Delhi

But in My India, YES, anything is possible, Even our mayawati who has spent around Rs. 1300 Crores of Public money of taxpayers in just installing her statues would be our PM one day?!!, It is unfortunate democracy where, the voter's participation ceases the moment he votes and it is not a wonder if he would be next prime minister as some of our participants have supported him, we need some one like vajpayee, nitish, narendra modi, manmohan singhji, anthony to lead us, it is not just a chance to give him as some body advised, you can not take such a big risk to put our whole country and countrymen into risk by giving him a chance, we can surely give him a chance to promote youth wing of congress or motivate the youth which he is mastering as he is charismatic and cute!!

Congress is the ONLY fascist party in India. Daresay anything against Gandhis and you will be hacked like anything with FIRs filed, petitons filed and what not !! This is enough proof of fascism rampant in this party though it reeks of slavery ! Other proofs of fascism from history are emergency, sikh genocide by congress, hooliganism exhibited by them when not in power, locking up of Sitaram Kesari for making Sonia the president of AICC, and I can just go on and on in proving the fascism of this party !!

Part -1 Mahaatama Gandhiji wanted to dismental Congress after winning Independence & had he known that we indians would go mad after his surname he would have been happy to give up even that. some of you have written that Rahul is young, dyanmic, energetic, educated so he should become future PM. Well these are the qualities expected from all new recruits(requirement of entry level jobs) in pvt sector companies. So friends come up with something rock solid to support your candidate. I wish to share a very interesting open letter from one Mr. Bill Churchill offering his services as Indian Prime Minister. LETTER FROM BILL CHURCHILL He wrote, ‘Many years ago, we ruled your country for over two hundred years. As the opposition leader at that time, my great grandfather had delivered a speech in the British Parliament on the India Bill’ tabled in our parliament to grant independence to India. He was not an astrologer or soothsayer but look how true his words were: ‘Power will go to rascals, rogues & freebooters, not a bottle of water or a loaf of bread shall escape taxation, only the air will be free. All Indian leaders will be of low calibre & men of straw. They will have sweet tongues but silly hearts. They will fight among themselves for power & India will be lost in Political squabbles’.

Part -2 He went on to suggest, ‘You can see that exactly the same kind of politicians are ruling India at the moment. Because of this bad situation, some of your political parties are now fully convinced that only foreigners can rule you best & they are projecting foreigners as your future PMs. It is that you are unable to find a single Indian born leader to rule you from a population of more than a billion in your country. The irony of the situation is that the same party that threw the aliens, i.e. we, the Britishers, out of your country, is now projecting foreigners as their leaders & perhaps, prospective PMs. It is high time to h& over the reigns of your country back to us. I am willing to come to India & become a naturalised citizen of your country if you promise to make me your PM. At the moment you are projecting some foreigners as your leaders who might not be knowing the geography of your country, its states, its languages, its traditions, its culture & its diversity. When you need foreigners to lead you, why should it not be an Englishman whom you have tested & tried for nearly two hundred years? Among all the British people, I stand much taller because Sir Winston Churchill was the PM of England for quite a long time. As a British PM of that time, he was the Prime Minister of India too because of its being a British colony at that time. I, as the direct descendant of Sir Winston Churchill, belong to the right kind of dynasty that you might be looking for. I also know your country & its diversity fully well, much better than other foreign born leader of yours.’ ‘In your country, if dynasty is very important for a leader, I am a heir of Sir Winston Churchill & have the much-needed dynastic qualification to lead your country. Here in England, nobody cares if I am the great grandson of Sir Winston Churchill, who as one of the greatest prime minister of U.K., had defeated Germany in the Second World War. ‘I contested elections several times in England but could not succeed, although I cried myself hoarse that I was the great-grandson of the same Sir Winston Churchill who defeated the Nazis. In your country, the wives, sons, daughters, & grandsons, great-grandsons & great-grand daughters of your past leaders automatically become great, intelligent & worthy. You people happily accept them as your leaders despite the fact that they have no other qualifications.’ Your country is a hero-worshipping country. You thrust greatness on the descendants of your heroes &, sometimes, on great zeros. Just look at your legislatures & parliament. So many wives, sons, daughters & other relatives of your past & present leaders are members of these legislative bodies & some of them are ministers too. Some of them had been prime ministers as well. The only qualification that they had was that they were the descendants of your past leaders. Many such

part-3 heirs are still waiting in the wings to rule your country. If being a descendant is the only qualification for being PM of your country, I too have it in very great measure.’ ‘I wish my country could learn a lesson from you. If it could honour its past heroes like your nation does, I would have been the PM of England a long time ago. But alas, my country does not know how to honour the breed of its heroes. I was always defeated in our parliamentary elections. If only my people had some respect & regard for the heirs of their great men, I would have had no need to write this letter to you. I am therefore sending this communication so that your party or nation could consider it favourably & make me the PM of your country. I have the required ‘Blue Blood’ & can rule your country exceedingly well.’ ‘I know that before your Independence you hated foreigners & foreign-made goods. You threw us out of your country & won your independence but now the situation seems to be quite different. At that time, you hated our English language, our customs & our products, but now I have learnt that nearly all of the elite classes in your country speak the same English language even at home. You have started wearing western clothes. Our festivals such as Valentine’s Day, Christmas & New Year are celebrated with great pomp & show in your country. In fact, a large segment of your educated class has forgotten your own festivals like Basant & Lohri. You fight each other to get your wards admitted in English-medium schools & many of you spend quite a bit of money to bribe the school authorities to secure admission for your children in such schools.’ ‘In 1942, you were burning imported clothes & other foreign made items to free yourselves from the shackles of economic slavery foisted on you by foreigners. But now the situation has completely changed. I am gratified to note this belated wisdom on your part, as now you love imported things like mad. I welcome this late realisation.’ ‘Don’t forget that we gave you the railways. We gave you roads. We gave you your legal & judicial system. We gave you the Indian Penal Code in 1860 & the Indian Police Act way back in 1861. You have not been able to amend or change any of these acts, even after 150 years, although they are more or less outdated by now. We united whole of your country from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. We gave you the most wonderful language ‘English’ of which you are so fond of now. We gave you electricity, we gave you telephones & above all else, we gave you democracy & your current governmental systems. The bounties that we showered on you are numerous & cannot be counted. You should be grateful to us & select me as your PM. I have no objection if you can have an Indian-born leader as your PM but if you are keen on a foreign-born individual, well, I have the first claim.’

Part-4 ‘I am, therefore, willing to become an Indian citizen provided your country or any good political party makes me a prospective prime ministerial candidate. Let me assure you that I will be a much better Indian than your current leaders, since I know the whole geography of your country by heart. I know where kumbakonam or Khilanmarg is, & where Horhat or Jaisalmer is; I know the difference, distance & location of small towns like Giddarbaha & Giddarpindi in your country. Not only this, I know what the Vedas & Upanishads are. I know all about Mahavira, Buddha, Kabir or Nanak. I have studied The Ramayana, The Guru Granth & The Gita. I have also gone through the Quran & the Bible. I am well versed in your history & in your culture. I am certain your present leaders know nothing about the above seers & the holy books of your country.’ ‘May I point out that if foreign-born men are not acceptable to you & your preference is only for foreign-born women, my wife is also ready to come to India & lead it. I would like to inform you that I have fully educated her about your culture, history, diversity, geography & the ethos of your country & now, she is fully capable of ruling you people.’ ‘I am sure that by now you are convinced that, if at all you want an imported leader, I am the most deserving candidate to rule your country. The last but most important proclamation I would like to make is that though I was born a Christian, I profess no religion now. I am a perfect secularist & like most of your leaders ‘POWER & PELF’ is my only religion. Please discuss my secular credentials in your party. I will wait for your reply by fax or e-mail.’ Please note I am even willing to take on any impressive Indian surname such as Nehru, Bose or Patel, if you are keen on that.’

As Krnual says Narendra Modi would be the right choice irrespective of the political parties if can look into. Do not look into the scandls that he is connected as its common in india taht other parties will try to sue the person how is doing good. look to the improvements towards the growth of the state that he has done.

Mr. Rahul himself says that he is not ready, even to take a ministerial post. Then why all these fuss. I wonder, how people can think that Indian Prime Minister job is a joke.

No Rahul Gandhi is not a fit candidate for PM of our country. Merely going to villages and having lunch with the villagers and mingling with them is not going to prove your case. Every fortnight you will come across about his journey to some village or having lunch with the villagers. His personality is not fit to be PM of the country. His father also did the same trick and his grandmother (Mrs. Indira Gandhi) also did the same trick. So he thinks this is a time tested formula to be popular and moreover you have "Gandhi" added to your name which he thinks is the only way to be a PM of this poor uneducated nation. I say poor uneducated because population here is mostly poor and uneducated. My friend I think now these things don't work and should not work. You should show your mettle to be PM. On price rise he has not any worth noting reply. Rest all depends on the congress party and the nation.

In my opinion, not immediately. Among the oldies who are strong enough to thwart his moves, he will be a puppet PM. Not a real PM. He needs some more time to grasp the real nuts of the country. By virtue of his zeal & background, he can be groomed still more. But ,we need a younger PM with totally young ministers backed by oldies out-of-power.

I do not want Rahul Gandhi to be the next P.M. The reason is that he is doing wonderful work in grooming the next level of Congress workers. By continuing to do this kind of work , we can rest assured that 5 years from now , there may be another 50 Rahul Gandhis ! We need more enthusiasm for politics from the youth of today , so that 20 years from now , India can have a government of ministers whose average age is between 30 and 35. Rahul Gandhi has already taken the right direction - that India's future lies in its youth. I would like him to continue this work for another 5 to 10 years.

I think one has to mature before being the head of the government. This applies to every thing right from Mango to tree to persons. It will probably take another five years before Rahul can be offered the top job. As far as Mr Modi is concerned he will never be a fit candidate to become Prime Minster of secular India.

we have a proven candidate in the form of Mr.Narendra Modi who has shown the world the way by winning more than 67 awards for the state. See how he has brought peace & development to the state of Gujarat. His focus has been on development and that is what we all want to see for the country. what has Rahul Gandhi to showcase except that he belongs to the Gandhi family & can keep the different factions amongst the congress together for the sake of power.

Rahul Gandhi is not fit to become our next prime minister, cos he should be given chance to become prime minister now where country is facing price rise in eadible commodity proove it now mr rahul gandhi that your party is thinking about the aam aadmi and not rich aadmi, congress has been worst party, we say it today because BJP has shown how to make country prosperous, and how to make development, show me congressmen who will say vote me on the basis of development. i urge today to mr rahul gandhi through the internett medium to alarm the bad upcommings and remoove the foolish prime minister of this country and be it now. i want to see you as prime minister, if any sort of help rquired iam there to guide you,cos it will be learning experience working with one educated briliant and young men who will think in terms of managemnet ability and things will be accepted on the basis of technicalities. manmohan singh is not the right person for pm it is only rahul gandhi at this perticular moment otherwise ship of congress is about to submerged in the water take it from me. other day when i was watching national channel on the tv, manmohan singh was unable to answer the questions put by the press and media. that means this prime minister is not fit for his job. when he is head of this state he should know what is going on and if something is wrong he should make it correct by changing the minister or removing that perticular ministry from the minister.

Time is not ripe for him to take the mantle of Prime Ministership now. His focus should be to clinch major victory in UP and other non-Congress States. In the coalition scenario, the allies would make the mess of things, if he is not very careful. He should also gain some experience as the Cabinet Minister, and also should speak up in Parliament on various issues. No doubt, he is a preferred charismatic leader in the making - may be after 2014, he would emerge as a very strong natioanlist leader with thumping majority, provided he maintains his rhythm as he is currently in.

Question should be -- Should congress be a party in power? Forget about Rahul Gandhi whose only achievement is "he is Gandhi", even congress is not fit to be party in power. I am surprise: 1. Prise rise 2. Failed home minister. 3. Fake Share market game 4. Failed against Maos and lot more Still in power. May be because of chain of currupt people do not want their patrons to go out of power.
