Thinking out of the boxes is much needed during an interview. More over the recruiters wants the candidates to be more clear about what they are saying and also they should be more confident in what they are saying. This is enough to clear any interview.

Strictly speaking there is nothing out of box thinking in a pure concept. Thinking different from the standard procedure and proven methods is only a matter. Improving the existing methods and innovating some other methods from previous experience where the efficiency will increase and the results are achieved in a better way and fast. That's it! As some one said you need to have an experience and need to be in the shoe than only you can have the realty and one should not be like our IAS bosses- thinking about the ground realities by sitting in the A/C rooms and nothing really works. The greatest blunder now happening is the Mahatma Gandhi Grameena Rojagar Yojan - it is the out box thinking of the blue eyed boy rather young here Rahul Gandhi. the whole program lead to a crisis in the country, lead to inflation, lead to crisis in the agriculture sector due to shortage of labour. Lead to wastage of Money of central government, which is spending a whopping 1.4 Lakh crores this year! with out any out put. This type of out of box thinking is not only useless and dangerous. So I mean that what ever may be the thinking it should be a realistic one and not a fancy one

Recruitment normally means selecting the "best". This can at times not be possible by straight line thinking. A little innovation, a lot more of looking at the whole picture rather than the rule book is required

Thinking out of the box is good but thinking efficiently out of the box cannot be achieved if you haven't experienced whats its like to be in the box ...

If you want maximum synergy out of your recruitment process, you must think laterally / creatively / out of the box. getting the right person in the right job profile requires some creative work.

Ankur, You are HR Executive with Aegis Ltd, you started with a topic which is good however to me it looks like you did not bother to check the grammar of the topic.""Is really recruitment requires out of box thinking?"" This is 110% wrong. It should be Does recruitment really require out of box thinking? Or you could say Does recruitment really require out of box thinking? I would really appreciate if you could please check 110 times for grammar & spelling when u post topics related to HR or recruitment on a professional networking site it certainly put HR professionals in bad light when such mistakes happen. You started debate but you have forgotten to put your view on the topic which is very very important.

My experience with, recruiters is that, they are least innovative!! Here, just its same academic grades, experience based recruiting, no focus is made to grassroots and on the work innovations made by candidates.
