Infact ,for freshers ,it is good .You will  try all possible avenues and realise what market really wants ,and what you have to do to deliver or agree to try to deliver learn and learn and hone in the process the survival instinct and smart working.

They will be able to work to their full potential and learn a lot of things quickly, since Jobs are less and you need to be around in the market-The instinct will keep you on your toes and efficient

Believe me when jobs are aplenty there are less people working and inproving their knowledge. they in that stage care less since they can find another job.All they get is good salary but no experience and recession like these is acyclic process .when that strikes such people will be out of work unable to cope

So recession will improve your growth

I think it is the worst thing that has happened to the fresh Management Graduates as now companies take utmost advantage of the situation that leads to our exploitation.

I look it the other way, i believe that the recession has actually helped us to learn and explore us...

we all know that it is very tough to sustain in this tough times and if we sail through these times we will never book back...these times has exposed us to situations where we have to prove ourselves...

so i believe that the recession has actually made us strong...

I don't see recession costing our career growth. The market sometimes booms and in the next moment recesses bringing job losses & control. But The recession shows our skills to us how much we actually know our work. At the time of Boom, nobody has got any problem but as soon as recession starts, unskilled labourers starts getting filtered. At that time we really know where we actually stand in the market and what are the things we still need to know to update ourselves with the current condition of running market....

Past couple of decade has proved that the markets are cyclical in nature. It BOOMS - creates lot of job & growth opprtunities & then it recesses bringing job losses & control. It is the nature of business & will remain the same in years to come

Recession has definitely taken its toll on our careers. But look on the bright side,  that recession made us realize about our lives. When the IT sector was booming people got paid overwhelmingly beyond what they deserved. Please dont mistake me anyone, just think about why the cost of living is enormous in top cities in india. Now that recession has made to realize our lives, made us work hard to survive, and to spend money in more reasonable ways. Finally, think who's responsible for recession. Only Americans?

I would say recession is the opportunities to demonstrate your strength and show case your value to the organization. This is the time when company would realize individual's importance and contribution and so lot more chances of growth

Dear Sukarn....

I do understand the opportunities are less & it will be much harder to get new jobs. Companies will definitely will ask to do more with less. I will say don't shy away with those things, take that has a challenge & groom your self with new skill sets. Go that extra mile & you will reap benefits......

One should know how to manage things during this times......
