Is SAP IS "Utilities OR Retail" has great potential in job market across the globe?
Would you suggest to go for this training course,if someone have excellent domain knowledge in similar field? Moreover, does knowledge of any foreign language gives added advantage?

According to me SAP for Utilities solutions has a great potential in the job market across the glove as it supports the specific business processes in the utilities industry, addressing the needs of companies in the generation, transmission and distribution, retail and other services, and water segments.  With SAP's comprehensive number of applications, and to go with integrated leading business support and analytical software, one can optimize key end-to-end business processes and also achieve key business goals.

It is good u want to go for SAP, u need to decide whether u want to be a functional guy or u want be techanical guy (ABAP programming, etc...).

SAP is good erp which mostly used in the Manufacturing, Hi-Tech, Oil & Gas, Construction, Enery, TRansportation, Retail. SAP is used by big organisation , but now it is gaining ground in SMB market. So if u want to be a functional guy, u need to come from that domain from ur previous work exp or u want to learn from here....

So my personal view, based on the geography u want to get job, ur passion, ur functional knowledge, all the industry are good.

SAP retail is catching up but it has tough figth for the market share from ORacle (Retek application) for Retail indsutry.

Forign language knowledge from the product perpestive has no advantage, but when u work for company, it is useful based on the role u play for requirement gathering, customer support etc...

Also SAP in real estate is catching up fast it has good market in Middle East & aslo in India. Most of the big construction company run the SAP as a ERP system.

Cushman & Wakefiled, which is biggest Real estate company in the world is not a SAP shop, they have build an in house application in .net technogoly.

SAP is an ERP software which provides functional integration for any organization whether it is in manufacturing, distribution or retail. SAP IS is specially designed for handling utilities like gas, electricity or water. The software integrates seamlessly with the SAP R/3 software and should have a lot of demand worldwide. Knowing a foreign language may be of some help in implementing the software if it is being done in a country where English is not the norm and people generally converse in their local language. In fact, apart from India, people all over the world communicate in their mother tongue rather than English. So, knowledge of local language can help in implementation.

SAP can be equally useful for retail companies as it can be a great tool for handling their supply chain effectively.
