social media most certainly helps companies to reach its target audience and perspective customers. it also helps company to converse with large scale audience on one-on-one level. if you're on social media or not..your brand is....and it is being discussed...so choice is yours....whether to be in it....or be left out from it.

YES YES YES! Google some of the data stats for people using Social Media. Here are some over views that I can provide since I am into Social media Marketing. 1) Best way of Viral Marketing - average facebook user has atleast 100 friends. 2) Time spent on facebook - 4hrs in a day is the estimated average hours spend on facebook 3) Average tweets in a day - atleast 25 tweets by a single person 4) Volume expected n facebook - 350 million users world wide. 5) recent number of users - 100-200 million in eight months. 6) expected - 1 billion forecast by 2013 7) Demographic Targetting - you can target your adds only to the clients you know will be interested. 8) Facebook is Indexed by Google so an added advantage of SEO on your products and services. 9) Cheaper form of advertising with better Returns on Investments 10) Avoiding papers to print brochures, etc - Saving the trees ;-) (this aint in google this is just a personal view.) Lots more to light upon but only 1 advise, take the advantage while the technology is booming with users and popularity, tomorrow we might have to follow something new.

I support this view. But again it depends on two key factor: 1) Understanding the social media behaviour of the target audience 2) What are you trying to achieve through social media? Regards, Om Deshpande

Social networks are the new answers to so many business these days... The reason why social networks have become famous is because they have the capacity to deliver goods for people in the HR industry at large and also sales people like me... So I strongly believe that social networking sites are good means for business

Undoubtedly Social media rocks the modern business areana and made its presence felt. With the help of social media networking, lost childhood friends and relatives are getting to know each other well.In business, the social media's usefulness is wellknown all around the globe. The way cocacola, some USA Companies are generating profit is one of the best example. Social media networking helps mostly only when it implemented with proper plan and channels.

I agree with S. Sushil on the subject. An actual purchaser will not see the networking site and buy. They will go straight to the market and buy the things.Yes at the same time will do some research on the product. Todays customer or for that matter any body will get distracted after some time on computor it self.

I for one do not think its worth the time spent on the networking in
social sites...one tends to get diverted and loose focus.
