No I don't think so, software process Improvement is a waste of timeThe process improvement process should be subject to constant process improvement just like any other process.If our improvement process is so burdensome that it's no longer productive to execute it, than that should be sending up red flags to someone somewhere. It likely needs to be looked at.We certainly don't want to cut corners on it, because anything worth doing is worth doing well and correctly. But wehave to do it leanly and with the least impact on productivity during the review process.
