After BJP clearly announced in Goa that ‘Muslim vote’ is no more ‘the forbidden fruit’ in the elections, BJP leaders have started making all-out efforts for looking more secular than the Congress and, on the other hand, they are out to have some special programmes to lure Muslim voters.

In this venture of attracting Muslim voters, BJP will depend more upon its Muslim rather than its Hindu leaders. It was quite evident in the zeal with which Muslim leaders were talking on their way back from Goa.

Criticising BJP Chief Venkaiah Naidu for proposing construction of a mosque in Ayodhya, Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Acharya Dharmendra accused him of indulging in politics of Muslim appeasement.

"The Ram bhakt workers of BJP should question their national President as to under which authority and with whose permission he issued the fatwa of constructing a new mosque in Ayodhya," Dharmendra said.

He alleged the BJP leader was indulging in "competitive politics of Muslim appeasement".

Yes, I agree she is best politician for ruling congress party but not good leader for india. In india total economy is moving downwards but by manipulating datas, they are showing growth in the economy. Our strength in agriculture industry is diminishing year after year and no politician seems to be worried about. Unemployment and low productivity is increasing day by day. Our economy is going in without any direction and some outsider are benefitting from this slow down economy.

There are very few politicians who are considered to be very good due to various reasons...

In this regard, Sonia Gandhi has undergone tremendous personal sacrifices and has tried her best to improve the political situation in the country under various scenarios.

But given the complex political scenario that a politician has to face on a daily basis, there is always more scope for making mistakes than doing things always correct. A case in point - For someone who has rarely taken a false step since scripting the Congress success story over the last five years, Sonia Gandhi’s slip-up on Telangana was an uncharacteristic blunder. The sudden decision to announce the government’s approval for dividing Andhra Pradesh was all the more surprising since the Congress president is known to err on the side of caution. Her trademark style of functioning is to listen to everyone before taking a major decision. Still this did not prevent her from doing all the things correctly.

Thus, focusing on superlatives like the best, the greatest, etc. may not be fully appropriate in the political context. It would be more appropriate to focus on how effective a politician she was. From that perspective, she appears to have done reasonably well as compared to a lot of other politicians.....

I think she is indeed the best and most intelligent politician till date.

Disha I am in total agreement with you. In 2004 by making Dr. Manmohan Singh as prime minister was the master stroke only a seasoned politician will be able to do.

So in my openion she is the master politician.

The admiration for Sonia Gandhi is the way she carried the party which was in a merge to collopase to back in power. Simplicity in her dressing and connecting to people. Struggle to learn the language and mingle with it. Taking critizism of the opposition, ies Dumb-Girl to an Powerfull Women.
