WHATEVER THE ADVERSITIES A DEVICE HAS, WE GENERALLY DO NOT WANT TO LOOSE AT ANY COST. EVEN AFTER THE INCIDENT OF NOKIA BATTERY EXPLOSION, PEOPLE SEEM TO CARE A HOOT AND STILL PREFER TO BUY THESE GADGETS SINCE "MANY TECH SAVVY PEOPLE EXIST IN THIS WORLD". "ITS ALL ABOUT MAKING THINGS EASIER"

Yes it is safe. But, not always safe.
If operation , maintenance & construction is wrong or substandard. - Operation means, here, includeing handling, preservation , transportation & storage.
- Maintenance includes, the technology is not updated with the principle said in the manual
- Construction includes the substandard design, material, production methods etc.

Technology if defined properly it is always safe. Any thing unsafe is half baked technology. Let us call them as prototype marketed / put to use.

Depends upon how you use it. Technology is just a tool. Usage depends on the user. Each technology also has got its limitations or criticality after which it can become unsafe. The trick is to stay within this limit

In such situation we can not blame technology. In the name of technology some people if cheap products are used then what,we can not blame technology. Even though if the same situation arises using qualitative products alternatives should be found out.Technology means to provide better solution by innovating better products.

Whether technology is safe or not we got to live with it, having said that it is indeed safe if used properly. Nowadays you see people around you using mobile phones every where they go even if it’s meant walking on the road or driving in a heavy traffic; they overuse it without understanding the ill effects of it, these things if taken care would a long way benefit everybody. Bangalore way back in 90's use to be a garden city but as IT started growing more and more companies came in and now you know how the city looks like, it's become a concrete jungle. It's not that am against IT, but you got to take care of nature and other human aspect as well. Right now they are not going hand in hand.

It is safe if we blend it keeping in mind the human perspective, unlike nuclear energy which is not at all needed, oil and natural gas, not needed at all. they can be turned into "weapons of mass destruction" (WMD), instead we should harness whatever our planet ushers us to create an environment and also to engage our scientist to create "weapons of mass creation", (WMC).We cannot survive without "Technology", that's for sure.

Technology, of late, has become part and parcel of our life! We have to live with the perils around - RSA factor using computer, electro-magnetic radiation, poor ergonomic designs of furniture used at home and office, green-house effects, etc. are a few items that are haunting our tech-savvy society in a big way! On the other side, pharma companies increasing their sale volume, doctors filling their purse, insurance companies part away with your hard-earned money are some of the inherent necessities we are put up with!

To prove my point, just see the result of what happened in Japan-The technologies, more than natural calamity are threatening the entire world right now.The dark side of technology as critical as nuclear or other scientific ones are that it not only affects the present but also the future. It is high time, the entire world came to a consensus about the use of right technology-A failure to do so, will result in natural calamities like famine/tsunami/earth quakes/ nuclear hazards and the likes which will haunt the future generation of our people also.

Technologies are man made and therefore while being a boon should not be considered always safe-Technologies are like 'Additives' to our natural resources and therefore needs plenty of caution in their applications.'Life' of technologies are always limited and should be only used where they are absolutely essential. The rampant usage of technologies imbalances the naturally created and natural resources causing irreparable damage and adverse effects.

As Mahalakshmi told technology became an inevitable thing in our life but if you ask me whether its always safe hmmmmm.... No its not. Technology makes our works easy and gives us immense pleasure today at the same time its very hazardous to life. Radiations emitting from cellphones, laptops spoils our health.

Technology can't be safe always. Technology is for the betterment and focussed for a goal. Some times our negligence may be responsible for unfortunate incidents and some times technology. But we have to welcome the growing technologies. This is for us only.

Technologies are only safe if they are applied in the intended way. Even when theya re applied in the intended way they have side effects that over time become larger and well known. All solutions generate new problems. Usually many mishaps has to take place before a new technology is relatively safe. But the advantages can be bigger than the risks - for the people who do not suffer the side effects

Starting from the industrial revolution , every advancement in technology has come with a price. So to say it is "always" safe is absolutely false.
Witness the number of recalls every car manufacturer has made over the years. Even Toyota is not immune to this.
After watching the "Air Crash Investigation" shows on TV , who will say technology is safe ?
The Large Hadron Collider , a result of collaboration between hundreds of organisations and thousands of scientists , broke down within days of starting up , and was down for more than year. Technology is an advancement into the unknown , and as such , cannot be safe. The intention , however , is to make it safe , and we can expect that technology which has stood the test of time , will be safe.
