Is the art of procrastination a good sign or a bad sign?

The legal fraternity is often looked down upon, due to their procrastination (delay). Some clients think they do it on purpose to earn more. Other clients think it is due to their incapability to win the case. But there are instances where lawyers use procrastination as a winning strategy to show that they are always busy with several cases. But on the whole, is procrastination a good sign in the law firm or a bad sign?

Procrastination is a good weapon to use. It's a method of gaining client trust and also buying clients. The clients will be in an impression that the lawyers are busy with other cases that causes them to not speeden up. Though the lawyers need to get things done by the last date. Otherwise it is all of no use.

 first of all accept my thanks  for rising the such nice issue.cilent dont want to delay their matter in the most of the case.  if lawyer make's delay is alwyas gose  againest the lawyer.it is simple things that person alwyes prfer that lawyer who do their case  speedly. client dont want to run court or lawyer office for their case. although it is profitable for the lawyer that whenever client will come he will pay. but it directly gose againest the reputation and credibility. of lawyer . in the one word what have to do with lawyer bussy or not . he want fast and speedy justy . may be delay will the tool of winging the case  for the lawyer.  as Oliver Homes stated  that accused dont want to know  what is law, who is the juge,............ be realistic ..................................... thank you  it is my wone opinion  may be you not accept .

Procrastination, is neither a good or a bad sign. Justice delayed is justice denied is a maxim the counter of it Justice in haste is justice in waste. To dicide any issue it requires sufficient time to understand the issue and to proceed with it. However the delays are not caused by the Lawyers only. Not only the clients, but a lawyer also wants the disposal of a case earliest. It is not the case of winning or loosing the matter, but the disposal is important. To meet that end both the side Advocates as well as the Hon'ble Court must be ready to proceed with the matter. In my view it is good sign because it gives opportunity of indepth study  of the matter and formulate strategy best in the interest of client.

I think it all depends on for whom u r appearing for & also have to adjust to the situation......

But one thing is sure, you can't win the trust or buy the client by procrastination...

By any parametere we can see that  "justice hurried though its called justice burried is far better than justice delayed and there by denied. 

Hope the topic does not refers to the art of adjournement........ adopted by many practicing lawyers for.......
