Money hai to (any where, inl. Sports) Honey (Politicians and Corporate capitalists) hai ! Players too. Players first come with talent later, they grow by playing politics. It is unstoppable, no room for discussions.

Intervention of politics in sports means the losing spirit of games in terms of players who are playing, viewers who are viewing and the investors who are investing in the same. It brings down the moral of all due to interfere of politics and creating a bad name for the same such as game has become a money machine for business house, match fixing, giving rise to betting etc. Till the time, the politics don't come into picture everything goes smooth like butter but when the virus of politics effects then the game becomes a rough patch and a difficult road to see the match with sheer determination and interest. But ultimately when the political cloud passes away the things get on track within few days. So to keep the game pure and free from virus lets not allow the politics to play a role in that.

Basically sports is the event for our physical fitness , enjoyment, spirit and to maintain social hormony. To much of commercialization and political interventions spoil this qualities of sports.I totally agree with you KAVITHA.

Politics is like a "lamprey". Its affect is "schadenfreude".So too much of politics is its conclusion. There is no degree of inteference, but every one tries to impress others so he or she may get position.Definitely politics spoils the sports but too much helps in evolving the politians.

Dear Kavitha, I feel the intervention of politics in sports is not at all good. You have already seen how our national pride sports hockey has suffered because of politice. Now the recent intervention is into Cricket. This sports also will suffer as politics has already started intervening in it. Sport is nothing more than the name implies. It is a game and has no value to the planet beyond the entertainment it was designed for. To waste a government's time on a sport (other than attending to felonious acts) would be a poor use of an elected leadership.

I will not support political interference in sports. Sports should have a separate body headed by IAS officers and should be free from politics. The selection should be purely on merit basis. Many talented sports persons/women are unable to gain entry into the stream and their growth has been punctuated by political interference & financial grounds. They should be motivated to participate in all types games to enhance the creditability of our country. As for as my knowledge goes, there is no political interference in sports in countries like Russia, China, America, and others. Thanks for the referral Mr. Vikas Bhatnagar. I agree with you.

No, intervention of politician in sports is not good. Because now a days dirty politics is going on and where ever they intervene it becomes political issue and dirty as well. The main thing with Indian politicians is that what ever they use to do they use to do in favour of their party and not in favour of the country. They want publicity in every issue. Frankly speaking they are all good for nothing. Bhagwan bachaye desh ko aur sports ko inke gande saaye se"

The meaning of sportsmanship has lost now and can be removed from dictionery. Sport is becoming business and money making and power grabing racket. You acheiving some thing in sport make lot of money do some social service here and there or at least attend functiones to raise funds for good cause or give a show for raising funds, peole will start worshipping you. You will have fans and fan cubs then. Political parties will approach you to contest from their party. You will win because your fans will make you win. You raise hands whenever party boss says you to raise make more money by controlling sports and sport associations or bodies. May be you are better than ordinary politician that is the onlu solace. Every one wants to be a sportsman and if posible acheive some thing in sports nt because you love sport and show sportsmanship on every ocation that requires such gesture, not because you want spread the message of sportmanship, but because you want to make money, come up in life, gran power and position, have a batalion of worshippers and may be go in the history so that future geration will build temples for you and start worshipping you

I would like to see the topic as IS INVOLVEMENT OF POLITICIANS IN SPORTS IS GOOD.? Every body knows that this topic created mainly because of the IPL-Tharoor- Modi issues. I feel involvement of politics in this so called drama is a must if evrery thing will be crystal clear after the invovement of IT, ED etc. But I feel that this hoopla among the media, prints will die down and even people will forget all these if any other important things will happen. Regarding the topic almost all sports bodies are governing by politicians that also for so many years upto 17 which is the curse for a country like India and is the main reason why we are behind other big countries in almost all sports and games eventhogh except cricket eventhough we have abundant talent.

No it wont. It will just be that there will be many more "organisations" that will be looking for an bit of the "action". This may increase corruption as the set-up charges/costs foe these multiple organisations will also have to be first recovered.

Anywhere there is some smell of money, politicians, local goondas etc. are not far behind. In sports, this is increasing. It is not good but there is no other way out. In items like IPL where the valuations of the teams have shot up exponentially in just 3 years do you expect freeloaders not to stay back? Cannot be helped. Necessary evil.Has to be suffered.

EK POLITICIAN SALAA... SPORTS KI VAAT LAGA SAKTA HAI ! Pls forgive the slang BUT that a fact. Lets leave SPORTS, to Sportsmen & Sports Lovers. POLITICS in Sports will KILL the SPIRIT of the Game. I do not mind Statutory & Regulatory Intervention... the rest will just end up making it a very murky scene out of it. CRICKET IN INDIA... is Relegion, that means it would be like Politics in Relgion too. Why do we need them at all in Sports ? As far as Issues about our National Safety are concerned, Betting & Match Fixing Issues are concerned, Income Tax & other Taxes are concerned... LET THERE BE GOVERNING BY THE CONCERNED DEPARTMENTS. POLITICIANS STAY OUT PLEASE ! Happy Debating Friends !

Dear Mr. Ziz , This is the tragedy of our country , we equate practicality with cynicism. I am very practical Mr. Ziz , but that does not mean I am not optimistic. In my 30 years of working life , I have always expected good from people , and I have very rarely , almost never , been disappointed. Probably God has been good to me. It's very difficult for me to change now.

Politics in any sphere of life is bad , as in the term "office politics". Sports should be the concern of sportsmen and sports lovers , not politicians.
