It is defenitely a national issue and the root cause to be explored and well studied. We should device strategies to stop spread and its menace in other places which are relatively very poor and undeveloped

it should not be concern for govt.only; its a public issue also WE MUST JOINTLY make efforts to stop these kind of activity.same thing applies for terrorist activity also. ONCE PUBLIC STARTS ACTION then only it can be controlled effectively.

this problem is not a single state problem now. it is presently national problem. it should be tackled before it becomes international problem. the state did not care and exploited them politically now the nation shouldnt exploit them politically

...Shweta....from my point of veiw question is not that it's a national issue or state...question is...not question answer is that...its only our home issue... for the same all parties should left their personaal benefits & come forward with any hard decision...like in this case govt. should apply army rule against them...

Maoist activity obviously is an issue of national security, because they working like a man killing machine, they don't believe in constitution of India & all ways ready to challenge /disobey the administration of state/country.Maoist problem is the most challenging internal problem to our nation, they are hampering our peace, national property, society, etc. Most recently they have committed a pathetic Rly accident in "Sardiha"(WEST BENGAL)more then hundred & fifty innocent people are died,so I think this is a very big problem for internal & external security issue of our country.State Govt & Central Govt should jointly solve this problem as early as possible to secure our country.

Yes, my opinion is absolutely state subject. The Maoist has taken birth when the group or people are not given recognition or neglected or not even given chance to develop them self by the ruling and or local leader to protect their interest and also squeezing the people for their purpose day after day. It is known to the local leaders and also Ruling politician wherein they did not mind short out in the beginning. Maoist is became an issue when they are targeting the ruling politician / leaders and their installations. Therefor, the ruling party and the state Govt may be protective in making decision....... along with the Public jointly may only it can be controlled / solved effectively.

I may be pardoned to say that it is neither a state or a central problem but a human issue . Yes I am angry when innoncents are killed mercilessly in huge numbers but u should understand the hidden anger among the tribals . As a nation weve grown horizontally and not on a plateau where few people have more money and more people having no money . If the prosperity of the nation is not shared such things are not only bound to happen but also spread. In my opinion Maoists have a cause and the real danger for the country is from religiously inclined terrorists. Exactly for that very reason they have the support from celebrites like Arundhati Roy, Metha Patel etc .

Yes it is state subject no surprise, but it made out as National Issue, National Terrorism. If states are keen in having proper development, social justice, human approach, in these backward area nobody would hv gone to maoist r any local guys. How do these people win public support & sympathey is simple, they go to the people and help the poor & try to implement certain simple policies beneficial to the poor. which the state govts could hv did thro'their system, total apathy, greediness, utter negligence, corruption & looting of forest resources thro mining, encouraging poaching activities etc. State govt should protest when certain policies designed against the wishes of the people living in the area under the guise of development by the central govt. Now situation got beyond control of the state, they are pointing fingers to the centre. Central Govt can only provide tactical support & state govt couldnot escape their responsibility. Let us hv clarity. Maoists, though they claim that they are working towards the poor, no violence & killing innocents comeout from yr hideout & fight the elections & represent the poor & help them. Such terrorist activities are not good & further looses sympathy & support of the one & all. Hiding in forest & running paralell govt. & collaborating with state govt will not solve the problem. Once state leadership changed again all sorts of violence will be unleased. State Govt. should see that proper developmental plan to be implemented for the poor in timebound manner with the special assistance from central, who are ready to assist. Rao
