The ghost of recession has been looming over our heads for a considerable time now. Experts say that this is the worst recession in 40 years. Even some of our collegues did face the heat of recession. So the hot question is - Is the worst over ?? My opinion is in the affirmitive. Different sectors are showing signs of recovery. On the personal front also i think insecurity levels have significantly reduced. Status quo is that most companies have stopped making losses. But hey ceasing to make losses is another story and development is another story. So still development is gonna take time, but we have lived the worst & a better tomorrow awaits us .......... cheers !!!

I think the recession is not over, but  it is not going to be more worst. All the countries are trying to control the degradation of private companies as well as of own companies also. But  recession  harmed  to the base of economy so we can't say that the recession is over, to over come from this problem it will take very much time.Recession is  not affected on any one country only,it affected on the whole world so,to control on this is not possible in near future. For example we know that the Indian market is very large but our economy is also somewhat depends on the US economy.Because the most Indian IT companies get work form US. But  because of recession the US companies were went to the loss so they didn't ordered to make any software to IT companies and because of that IT companies were went to loss because they were have not work but they have to pay for there employ , so they started firing the employees, now without job that employ can spend money only on important works so by this the other companies are also affected because there customers become less and in this way the companies which are depends on India are also went to loss so economy of that countries were also affected,so it is not easy  to overcome  from the recession  to all over the world, because here is the economic chain between the countries.....

It is, slowly but surely the world is regaining confidence in business and the future.

The thing to note is that every downturn teaches us invaluable lessons, and its up to us to learn them and move towards a more sustainable and stable growth plan...avoid bubbles look for slow but steady growth across diverse sectors.

There are incredible opportunities hidden in the new consumer behavior thats emerging post recession, apparently the recession has altered consumption patterns in a more permanent way than we initially thought- this, to my mind is a gold mine, provided we proceed in an intelligent & systematic manner to avoid creating another "gold rush" or bubble.

It can be optimistically assumed that the recession is finally over. Going by the company performance sheet, investor mood and most recently the official 'Affirmation' on G20 meet, we can say the pointers are loud and clear. But everything said and done, companies are still cautious and investors should also close follow the situation lest they go overboard in some frenzied buying spree and bring down the stock index again. I would rather prefer the recovery be a slow but stable one rather than it shooting up. The scenario will be much more clearer after this quarter I guess.

It is not over. As Mr. Pi said, it is yet to begin. Entire world economy US centered and US is in financial troubles. It is trying hard to say that it is in a good position leveling allegations on the ratings of S&P. Let us see what is going to happen.

I agree with Mr. Pi. Worst recession is yet to begin. Because of the wrong policies of the US and Europe, the whole world is badly hit!

Dear friend I don't think the worst of  recession is over , it still has its impact on many companies. The companies are struggling to come out of it and it will take some more time for them to overcome this problem and attain stability.
