Emotion Intelligence is actually form of logic; in essence, it is social and mental logic. Empathy and intrapersonal understanding may be other ways to put it. It allows for better control regarding one's own emotions, as well as having the capability of interacting positively with other people consistently by recognizing and responding to their emotional state.

Let me give few examples of outof the box thinking. Superficialy demand/supply curved defines when the price goes up demand for that product come down and producers are willing to supply more at higher prices. Out of the box state of this deman/supply phenomenon is, companies must price after taking into consideration the wage levels of citizen and the cost of the product. So demand/supply phenomenon will work out better for the citizen and to economy as a whole. Companies can manufacture different products. Producing randomly these different products. The out of the box state is companies must optimize for maximising profitability through Linear Programing the output for each product which will maximize the objective function depending on constraints of supply and investment capital. Capital owners can make profits. The out of the box state of this is that they shoulld never hoard the wealth they create. They should keep investing it. This generates more employment annualy and drives the economy to grow.

I would say IQ is the main thing here. Thinking "out-of-the-box" is about perception, observation, analysis, and creativity. Though, I would like to clarify that I'm NOT talking about the results of a normal IQ test here. There are quite a lot of people who do not score well on IQ tests but still do well in life! EQ is about dealing with your emotions, how you relate to other people, etc. There are many people who are quite emotional about their efforts and the results that they obtain. So there may be a bit of EQ thrown into the mix as a person with a more even temper and equable nature may be better able to arrive at a solution which is "out-of-the-box". The whole issue becomes even more confusing when we consider examples of very brilliant people who have arrived at"out-of-the-box" solutions but on the other hand are social klutzes who have managed to rub colleagues the wrong way.

Sandy ji i would say that thinking out of the box means to think something unique, something unconventional and to do that you need to have a creative mind and know-how of various things. So according to me this is definitely due to the intelligence of the person and it has nothing to do with EQ.
what do you think?

According to me Thinking out of the Box is due to the IQ of the person like how smart he handles things and how he handles the situation, to me for this Intelligent quotient is more important than the EQ.

"There are three sides of an argument -- your side, my side and the right side." just as we feel that our existence is threated in the market we get ides like eureka !!! this is certainly the case here we work in constrains of our mind and free it only when we are in trouble . and this is specially for Mr. Thomas sir even Walt Disney felt that mouses can't alone run the show we need buddies to help him then only he started creating .

Thinking out of the box depends upon both IQ as well as EQ as IQ help in finding the ans. where as EQ helps one or makes one to think for the ans.
