I don't know about all over but in India, and without master key option which can take care of these things, I think blackberry will face problems every where, this is a serious concern where security agencies cannot track down things, and blackberry should give options for such things, they can't do business without addressing such an important issue at hand.

Surely this is not the end. The options to face the security challenges are still in evaluation phase.Given that the Blackberry services are used mostly in the business segment,it is not so easy to take such decision without thinking the alternative solutions. The usage of Blackberry phones may be slow further with the growing smart phones and pleasing features but the Blackberry can't be banned

Research in Motion (RIM), the creators of Blackberry are in process of getting the intercepted codes from enterprise mail servers in a readable format. Though nothing concrete has come up till now, it is certain that they will come up with some alternative solution in this particular regard. This concern raised by our government is genuine and is required to be addressed in an appropriate manner as it has a potential security threat leading to a major lapse. Let's hope for the best as I am looking forward to get a blackberry soon.. :) All the best to RIM to get it cracked !

Let's hope for the best as I am looking forward to buy a blackberry soon :)

Thinking on Business terms they would not want to loose million of dollars as rightly pointed out by Amrita. I guess Security Issues are just a cover up for the Indian government to push Blackberry out of India as Reliance is Interested in making a entry in this field. All I can Say is God Bless India. The Rich don't need no god they have the Politicians, Police and the Law on their side.
