i dont know wht exactly the question means.. may b my answer is right or wrong.. .The funniest thing i hve seen here is ... 60 % i mean the academic.. whts there in marks.... a guy who has scored  60 % is allowed to take up the interview in top mnc companies.. why ????? so whts ur point .. if a guy scored 60 % he is a genius .. and a guy with 59.9 % is a idiot huh ??? hahahaha .. strange and funny .... why all the companies are ready to hire only bookworms... creativity i mean in its is given .. but do u think is everyone in india is ready to digest that i mean utilize that .. no .. sorry i dont know about western countries.. but i feel this process wont be there...... lot of graduates are there in india.. who has lot of ideas but less marks... its not like a graduate who gets less mark is a idiot he might b playful.. even he can b moulded .. i know its not the responsibility of it companies.. but the thing wht I am trying to say is … is why 60 % survives in it but not guys who is less than 60 …..

here the most funniest thing is u need 60 % to work in a bpo.. I mean to enter into the recruitment process….hahaha…. I hve a very strong doubt …wht a bpo guy is gonna do .. when he attends the call… he is gonna start with hi . hello .. this … so and so .. may I know ur first name and last name …. This is what he is gonna say …but not this.. hi.. this is .. so and so .. and my graduation score is 60 % .. may I know ur first name and your last name … hahaha .. or else .. hello … is it 60 % on the phone line …. Hahahah ….…. Wht is essentially needed for a bpo guy ..60 % or good communication skills…. Omg … wht the hell is this………………………… so what will the end product… bookworms will get selected … then after a year they will be promoted as prototypes.. then during recession prototypes will get fired.. then again bookworms will get selected .. the process goes on on  J J  sorry if I am harsh some where else .. its just my opinion     :) :) ................................ thank ya... shiv

Yes today that is the case in all companies. But I think its just a criteria for filtering students because everyone cannot be interviewed. And it will also motivate students to score high marks.

eligibility criteria related to marks is mostly asked by PSUs. private firms rarely ask so.well idea is whether 60% or not, focus should be on positive attitude, eagerness to work and learn.I personally fell that score is not a true reflection of your achievement.How can you judge whether he/she fits into the profile or say culture of the company.Its true that mass cannot be interviewed but a tele-call , G.D can help filtering right candidates.

Yes, But whether anybody think why recruitment process is about 60% because candidate does not stay more in any company now a days due requirement of high remuneration and change living life styles with full of entertainment and tension free.

i do agree what your saying ...but i wont accept with what your saying about .. not everyone cannot be interviewed .. every mnc companies have some rounds .. which is meant to eliminate candidates in bulk amount.... And whts there in marks.. i still dont know why everybody still keep on sticking with marks. ...why not other criteria...  ..

  Prototypes work for money.. sorry i mean employees... the great employees work for money .... i mean i am not trying to say that everyone or like this.. but some.. i mean some when compared with who really wants to do that work .. Creativity is less nowdays... may b bcoz of that... everyone wants to shift from one organisation to another... bcoz they expect money..... 

            everything or connected ... i mean to say that bookworms.. 60 % , creativity. marks.....  :) :) :)

Dear Dipika your comment has found to be o.k but today situation has become very much dangerous that any candidate when ever he get opportunities that any company who hire more than present company then he change the job but every time to change the job create the impression unrealibilty of candidate i.e candidate interested to take turn of his life where only high remuneration is getting either he don't want to become expert in his field or he is expert but has develop overconfidence in his nature of working.

Progress of Life is only there where Lord Saraswati is there and every facility of Life is with Lord Laxmi but behind that facility lots of sadness is there- Try to think about our life when you are alone, you will find your own True picture of your career.

All the private concerns are concentrating on referral views only so the value of direct recruitment is limited towards a single standard , as far i am concerned my view on today's recruitment process is below 60% only.
