What a tourist wants?? Better service at lower price, lower room rates, more attention. This is what a hotel will give to attract visitors/guests to their hotel..

Lower room rates : Hoteliers will try to attract guests by lowering their room rates, providing discounts etc..

Better service: During recession we could see many people going out of job, so there will be competition between the employee which will result in better service from them.

More attention : With very few guests in hotel you will get more attention that before from the employee of the hotel.

Finally, you will be treated royally but less expensively....So its better to travel during recession....

We have seen a drop in crude oil prices which means flight rate will also come down...

NO, ITs a bad idea to think about travelling during recession because everyone wants to earn and save money not to spend money. So don't ever think about travelling during recession....
