Improving or providing high security to people and places is not enough for the protection of people or places........we need to look for different system for security.......we need to produce good human beings ......so that everybody can be secured fully.......we are busy in producing better and best.......but actually we need good........you can be better or best easily but to be good is difficult...

even though i want to be on the other side but , i think with proper security in place one can atleast avoid many crimes that would have taken place without proper security, with necessary security one can atleast be sure of secure and not vulnerable to attack all the time, so security helps deter criminals from crime........

And Devi you've mentioned about movie "Vantage Point" those things happen only in Movies not in real life...there are many things which will be checked before an even where many of the foreign Prime ministers are present.....

I think we can not achieve security without eliminating criminals.....the best security can be achieved by eliminating existing criminals and stop producing criminals in every family......

Yes Security System will deter the criminals.Think of the attack on Parliament.If the security had not had stopped the edifice for world's largest  democracy could have been on peril at the ransom of terrorists and anarchy could have prevailed in the entire country. Security of the country is important.I definitely accept that moral education to produce better citizens can lessen the surity threats , but cannot suppliment the requirement of security.

Criminals are always one step ahead when we wait for them to breach security.

And we are one step ahead when we are proactive and attacking.

A country has more criminals because the economic policies directed at them is not enough, it is not enough to work our their dreams and aspirations. If the citizen enmass are well endowed then there is no need for criminal activity. A person can make use of different opportunities available to him to work out his life and visions. Security systems are only termporary arrangements which cannot be depended for ever.

These days the criminals are smarter than the security officers/system. They even have better high profile ammunition than the security forces. I have seen in my country many security officers getting killed including ministers and high profile officers of the government despite the security system in place.

You ever heard of kick down the door bandits, and machine guns blasting big security locks, a whole room of newsmen get blown away in execution style, when the alarm goes off the security arriving one hour later.
