Definately I suppor the Idea. Because customer and seller knowing each other is best for selling insurance. Insurance is different kind of product in which personal contact is necessary.

Web 2.0 concepts have led to the development and evolution of Web-based communities, hosted services, and applications; such as social-networking sites, video-sharing sites, wikis, blogs, and folksonomies. The bigger part of Web 2.0 is how companies and consumers use it.

As Web 2.0 increses social network I feel that it is definitely going to help Insusrers because selling insurance is much easier when the person knows you and can trust you..

I somewhat agree with Mr.Aditya that building relationship through web 2.0 can greatly benefit the insurance companies in increasing their business but one thing I would like to ask him is whether one can be sure that by interacting with the prospective customers through web can build the trust which is needed to make your products sell in the market....because what I feel that even after meeting face-to-face with the customers doesn't guarantee that you have developed faith on the customer...then how can you be sure that you will be able to do the same in the virtual world of web.
