Is wikileaks doing the right thing by exposing all those data??

Just hours after releasing 250,000 United States diplomatic cables, the whistle-blowing website WikiLeaks was crashed by an unknown hacker.  Experts revealed that the WikiLeaks website was crashed by method known as distributed denial of service (DDoS). The server was jammed due to the repeatedly demand web pages from the server.  

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said that the secret data released by them exposes the "diplomatic history" of global affairs.

But US has condemned the release of secret documents as "reckless" and "dangerous".  These revelations are harmful to the US and our interests. They are going to create tension in relationships between our diplomats and our friends around the world.  Is Wikileaks doing the right thing by exposing all these data??

YES,I THINK THERE IS NOTHING WRONG IN LEAKING SUCH INFORMATION ................ATLEAST WITH THE HELP OF THESE INFORMATION  WE CAN GET THE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE MENTALITY OF HIGHER AUTHORITIES OF DIFFERENT COUNTRIES. BECAUSE WHAT THEY THINK PERSONALLY MATTERS A LOT RATHER THAN OFFICIAL VIEWS. OFFICIAL VIEWS ARE ALWAYS DIPLOMATIC.WITH THE PROPER KNOWLEDGE ABOUT WHOLE THE THINGS......... YOU CAN DEAL IN A EASY WAY AND KNOW HOW TO BEHAVE IN FRONT OF OTHER COUNTRIES.

I don't think they are doing the right thing.The data they are making public is very sensitive.The data collected in the wiki leaks documents is just personal assessments ... not the official views of country.But these information is enough to create panic in the people and misunderstanding between the countries.

Whatever is wrong is wrong ?? Once the wrong deeds are exposed, then it creates awareness among general public how ruling governments are duping them..

Wikileaks is strengthening democracy by releasing information to people.US is in state of perpetual war,wasting so much resources...so their citizens need to know what their govt is up to. wikileaks will enable citizens to ask questions. As US govt is increasingly being influenced by corporate lobbyist and vested interest, wikileaks exposes them. Next year wikileaks is going to expose private sector companies starting with a big financial company. In India we need such organizations, it could be called Indialeaks.

Good job by wikilinks by exposing dirty politics of USA. Even USA has used a bad word about our ex- prime minister Indira Gandhi. It is not new that USA politicans using bad word aganist other leaders. It is the policy of USA.

The Wikileaks will do more harm than good.It is common sense that all governments will have their own priorities and perceptions about different countries like how we human beings have.But putting those perceptions to public domain will embarass.

Amrita i dnt know u bt if u r talking abt INDIAN Government den hello ur talking abt which data d chiarman of any muncipal corporation don't know how many people r working in dat bt other ordinary person can tell u. i dont think this will help any government. bt will help some untrusted source.

I don't think so, they are doing the right thing by exposing all these data...there will be few data which should not come out in public....there will be few things which governments all over the world will keep it under tab and not let it out like this..and wikileaks is doing this by giving out all these data in open to the public and creating tension among the people, and among the countries.....and this is going to create even more problems than ever before...
