This is not the first time that we came across an institution like wikileaks. The renowned "Tehelka" did a same gig some time ago. Every citizen of a country has a right to know how their leaders are driving the country - and whether the direction is correct or not. Wikileaks is doing an outstanding job. It requires a lot of courage, resources, efforts and the guts to deal with the after-effects of such leaks. I would suggest that more of such organisations should come up to expose corruption, bureaucracy and other malicious activities prevailing in the system. No system is perfect and malpractices do occur in each and every system - it is a fact and we have to accept that. However it should not be ignored to the extent that it hampers the proper functioning of the system and violates the human rights.

Its wrong to publish it publicly. It can be done to certain people who actually need it instead of showcasing it to everyone....

Apart from details pertaining to National Security,Im of the opinion that loop holes of any kind should be exposed,because we are awfully corrupt from the grass root level itself,with a few exceptions maybe.One option is to be the change oneself,than trying to change others. Corruption begins from our thoughts itself,nowhere else.Going on a Fast is rapidly becoming a Fashion.Instead, show the change in our routine work,keeping Wisdom as the corner stone to guide us.Then our Nation will be a lot different.Think about it.

NOTHING NOTHING published is really confidential. My opinion of you cannot be a top secret issue. If it gets leaked, both of us, (more me and less you) can get slightly embarrassed. No national secrets are disclosed. Governments do not fall. Publishers of all such data take due diligence to see that items are not sensitive. International Defense Magazines have repeatedly refused to publish photographs of items in Top Secret Projects - saying that these information are really TOP SECRET. Thank you, but No Thank you.

Double standards of various Nations are getting exposed. At least our political leaders should realize that every country in this world will primarily look for its own sovereign interest. We are mired with delusion that US will play a strong role in building relationship with the third-world countries. This kind of exposes are eye-openers, and our policy makers would exactly know how your internal issues are viewed by the international corridor! Its foolishness to believe that US will help annihilate terror groups in Pakistan. They are in fact frightened of the same terror groups that have base in Pakistan soil and will support Pakistan till US Army gets out of the Afghanistan. Whatever said and done, India is happy with the lipservice these nations do. We should be very cautious to safeguard our sovereignty - very hard earned one!

Its actually Un-ethical,to leak the confidential mails,that should be dealt diplomatically & can create an imbalance/Hullabaloo in the nation,Politics & culture. I would say,what is been done & was under secret cables shouldn't be disclosed socially. No to leaks.
