Is young India uncaring and insensitive?

As i was going through TOI i came up across a very good article on the youngsters of the country like, Is young India uncaring and insensitive?? Just go through the description to know more...

Today, prime-time, hit reality shows on television like Roadies, Splitsvilla and Sarkaar Ki Duniya portray youngsters as bitchy, back-stabbing and vicious. In an increasingly competitive urban scenario, youngsters resort to insensitivity to win the rat race. Do these shows provide an insightful and scary glimpse of young India? Is young India ruthless and unforgiving? Is the carefree youth losing its innocence in a cruelly high-pressure world? Are parents too responsible for pushing youngsters into being the best at the cost of their personal values? Why are more and more young viewers getting glued to these shows? Are qualities like friendship and loyalty being replaced by greed and jealousy?

i can't really agree with Kavita's comment, these shows are just done plain for viewers to enjoy the show and not literally follow what they do there, but the main thing is that if a viewer doesn't want to watch they have the remote in their hand and they can change the channel any moment, it's completely a viewers choice like what he/she wants to see and which they don't want to....So according to me just by going through couple of shows like this one can't really judge that the youth are uncaring and insensitive.

According to me yes, being from the media, i know that how much these shows get TRPs, and these shows create so much hype from the starting like the selection procedure, and when the show starts, its almost like voting out procedure begins on the episode 1 itself and the tasks which they perform in these shows, where they have to back stab one another to remain in the show and this being watched by most of the youngsters will have a wrong impact, and yes by watching such shows on TV youngsters are really becoming uncaring and insensitive and loosing their innocence.
