I know that when it comes to technicality managers are a dumb donkey and If I am given a chance to manage I'll certainly perform much better that him as everybody is a manager by birth but nobody can be technically sound he has to learn a lot to earn the knowledge

And this is an illusion that managers helps us to grow as the moment he see that you are better than him he will start finding ways to depress and suppress you by any means

Managing is a job we have been doing from the point we were born at least in Indian context

The option must have been "I am Better than my Manager"

I too want to become a manager. Managers do have some extra skills from his experience. Learn from him. But always compete with yourself. Analyze what is making you a step back and compete with yourself to become the winner.

defintely manager appreciate your performance and encourage you to perform better but he/she do all this in order have get the things done from his organization in a successfull manner, but when it comes the point that whether he encourage your growth, definitely not, because he doesn't want to see you in climbing up the ladder and taking his position someday. We also want to grow, definitely i want to become a manager someday..throughout the life i can't be under someone..

I do agree he is our leader but we cannot be a subordinate through our life. Everyone tries to come up in life. So some day down the line I want to see me as a manager.....
