When it is a small unit you will be definitely close to the administration and easily gain benefits. The unit of course will be reporting to the center. For better administration, small units are always the best

To my personal opinion, the central government should go directly to village administration level to implement the local government rule. Hence the local people can select their leader and demand for their justice. well i would like to use this opportunity to remind everybody that we are still known in the name of a religion or a community. but not as an Indian. to prove u as an Indian, you need certificate of proof to say that you belong to which religion or community. What a shameful India where she cannot identify her son or daughter with out religious certification. Ok, what about the the education and rights of living...i don't want go in to detail.....u decide.

At present in India the burning problem for separate states. The only problem for the separate states partiality of the Ministry of various state government did not choose to develop some of areas to which they are not representing. They are diverting the funds to the areas to which they are representing and ignoring the other areas. Further there is lot of political influence in developing the particular areas.

No, not at all, it is not advisable, first of all many regional and small parties are mainly negotiating and bargaining politically for their existence on the cost of vital national interest? all ready our country is going through hell! again further segmentation to small tiny units and call them states, it is surely gives an opening for not only some of the chief ministerial candidates and governors but also for many ministerial candidates of the ruling party? on cost of the whole nation, the voter a common man and tax payers money?it is totally rubbish?"MERA BHAARATH MAHAAN"

The very objective of the then makers of our nation was to unite the country under a single banner as such the small and smaller states of the Rajas and the Nawabs were merged with India. Now with the divisions and sub-divisions of the states on the point and basis of colour, caste, creed, language, belief, etc the very reason and the salient feature of our country is ruined and the good cause is defeated. Infact not only telangana but the demand of gorkhaland, etc should also be turned down by the Government. But it is very pitty and shameful that our politiians and so called leaders, just to enjoy the power and play in the game of blood-sheded politics are encouraging such kinds of demands, rather I call it a illegal demand. To make it short, i donot support the demand of demerger of states

Beg your pardon chandra but I would like to oppose your view because according to your views it is not the number of states which is an issue but the people in the power. So even if you divide the states the problem will still remain..

I really get disheartened when I see such issues arising and feel sorry that what have we done to our beautiful country and its culture. And feel more sorry when i see educated people(in govt or others) talk of all this nonsense and endorse it. Everybody says its politicians who are doing it for vote bank etc but I don't agree with it completely because nobody can impose anything on anybody until and unless somebody accepts it or wants it to happen for whatever reason. So we also are responsible for it somewhere. I have seen many educated people endorsing the partitions and that too strongly reasons may be whatever bt they are doing it !!! However junta like us are also helpless because the people whom we chose as our representatives are not doing it and we can't dedicate full time owing to family and other personal responsibilities. So i think root cause for all this is not politicians. Its simply greed and there is no end to it. Greed for power, position, money etc which makes the politicians and the related people do what they do. This virtue, as we all know, exists at all levels of administration. So unless there are more right people than wrong this will never end even if you make thousand states !!!

It is the smart, clever but shameful idedology of state governments to demand small states dividing their own states. e.g if U.P is divided into four minor states it is the Mayawati govt who will be profited. In elections if she gets to rule 2 out of 4 states party will invariably on the books grow and become a stronger brand in india and will be able to pose challenge in becoming lok sabha elections. At this point of time every party wants to eat a pie of growing their muscles throughout india and its always better to rule two states thgan one. SIMPLE CASE OF GREED..!!!!!!!!!!!

In fact we have accepted language based states in our Indian constitution.now we are moving to tribe based and region based states. This will add to already heavy administrative cost and tax payer will be asked bear the burden of higher tax.hence not advisable to add to the army of administrators now.

This issue of smaller states- how small - size of a district ? At this rate this is exactly what may happen and the country could well have thousands of ministers. Actually the demand for carving states out of existing states is prompted by politicians who want bigger roles for themselves. If small states came into existence for their own cause,India will be separated in to small states. Before Independence, small states were existed and the great leader Sardar Vallabhai Patel has negotiated with all the small states and brought under the control of the Union Government. In this united India, we have big states like Maharashtra and Gujrat known as developed states and small states like Tripura and Mizoram known as Undeveloped states. How can we say small states in better governance? Thats why, in my view, it depends upon the ruler and his administration who is ruling the state not the size to run it properly or not...
