I strongly believe that its very important to start working in industry immediately after you have completed your PhD degree. In that way we get more idea about the current research required to be carried out to get money for your project. Some time its very difficult to motivate yourself after PhD to bring out new ideas because you are very use to present work.

I do agree with you. But there are better options of exploring the research by joing the post doctoral program and it is always better to join an institute than a MNC initially as in institutes you will get a chance to develop expertise in all areas.
