IT Service Management - what should be the right strategy

We have ITIL V2 & V3 for ITSM, Prince & PMP for project management, ISO 27001 for information security....

Business managers are not aware about these standards and frameworks. I just wanted to facilitate this debate to brainstorm the right strategy that IT managers should adopt, so that they can effectively align IT with business.

Also we would like expert to provide guideline on implementing IT service strategy especially in Infrastructure Management services where India has long way to go. IT infrastructure service segment is still not mature in India and people perceives that it is all about system / network administration and Helpdesk/service desk management.
