Well I know there cruel reason why in every organization there is a lacuna. Firstly the talented mass is considered over educated than the recruiters by themselves and it gives the recruiters the sense of insecurity and inferiority which ultimately results in jealousness and the recruiters dismiss the candidate by giving stupid reasons like voice and accent or communication issue or grammar where their grammar is greatly appreciated by non brain holders. Secondly after selection the trainer feels the same and that results in personal grunges and same feeling in trainers or seniors so results in the termination of the talent. Thirdly having seen these enormous corruption and mismanagement accompanied with personal frustration of the talented individual he opts to either Quit or his talent is rusted in due course of life......... So those who are inside the organization are selected brainless and incapable of research capability and those who have the research capability are sent outside to suffer and get wasted for no good reasons and this is the paradox which has indeed engulfed all organizations like a deadly virus ..........

Thanx for the referral, Jyoti. I do agree with you. I also agree with Mr. Murlidhar Nambiar's observation. Many organizations are seeking candidates who have learnt their skills elsewhere ("don't know where but just elsewhere"). Of course, equally there are extraordinary individuals in many organizations who are driving training (& upskilling/multiskilling) well. I just wish that there are more of these people around.

Except in few Organizations / Institutions, the infrastructure for training the top brass is very minimal in India. Recently, you might have heard top police officials were sent to UK to learn the tactics of handling AlQueidas activities in India, in the light of Osama death. Right candidates are abundant in India but, proper training to match the requirement to the changing scenario & a persistent system to offer congenial environment to grow it, is very much appreciated.

Yes, u said it rightly, many higher positioned executives sitting are with irrelevant background and experience which of course is not making any credit to the corporate. it is too much in public sector and government organisations, where the executives does not know their basics about their products and services forget R & D, Many lack in talent in R & D and also training curriculum in Industrial Relations to motivate their HR?

I dont think there is dearth of talent, but R&D is not being encouraged here. Curriculum of education need to be revamped.

We have plenty of talent, it is the question of placing a right hand in right position. This job is a challenge. And wrong idea of relating age to retirement. Age is just a number. There are persons going strong past 80 also. and there are persons half the efficiency at just 40 also. We need to evelve a right tool for judging and retiring than just stamoing on certificate age. Measure one's mental age and retain / extend the talent.
