The check is necessary because it is the television industry which is getting affected. If there is a power cut then it a rule that there shold be a back up of 6hrs which cale operators do not follow and that affects the TRP so the check is necessary for them.

i think the govt. shud surely impose the rules more strictly. coz wen it cums to TV shows the broadcasting rights have to b followed.

There are certain norms which are set up by CAS and I think operators should be checked on it other wise it would act as monopoly market for them especially in tier-2 and tier-3 cities.

I think it is their region and govt. is simply interfering into it, they are paying for the paid channels and keeping the track record clear, then there is no need for the govt. intervention.
