We cannot depend on the organizations to take a corrective action on the employees, layoff happen since the companies donot have proper management focus, no forecasting methods applied, or sometimes may not probably care about employees.

However employees could take care of themseleves to overcome layoff, one such quick solution could be give birth to an "Insurance" company, based on the basic they could deduct some amount and sombody losses his/her job could avail full or part of the basic amount to a certain extent of period may be two to three years, in between the employee could upgrade himself or find a new oppurtunity, this could replace the old traditional method of paying PF - Provident fund where you get only less lum-sum amount and may not serve your purpose. 

Please come up with any innovative suggestions/solutions
