Is it the ads or is it the taste? Sprite, 7up and Dew have left coke behind in Inidan markets? Is it because of its marketing and Branding or is it the taste? What do you fall for? Do the Dew, Trust only taste baki sab hai waste..

We Indians are familiar with the taste of lemon. The ads did well and people love them but then it all boils up to one point that is taste. If your tongue lovesit, your hands will go straight to your pocket and your finger will point to the flavour you love.

Though the marketing is equally good for 7up, sprite and mountain dew, i go with the taste because that is one thing that would please everyones palate.

As Lemon is a natural drink it is better in taste than coke and is healthy for our body as it keeps the mind cool in summer, and is energetic drink.

citric is very good for health though it is artificial. carbonated beverages among the all it is purely for health purpose drink. nothing compensate it.

Taste is very became very important now a days. Since 1 year the ration of varios lemon ad is grown limca, dew, 7up, sprite , they have broken overall market of Pepsi & coke. Even though company itself also less focus on pepsi & coke. This all lemon drink are became annual and in summer highest sale volume also. The other thing is that many other substitute products lemon are available in market.Lemon market has change mainly overall youth market. All lemon drinks ad are come on youth basis and it has got success also. in future may be many flavored drink may be come. Thanks Ms.meena for referal and create good debate

In India Khatta Mitha is not only an idiom, it is a way of life. So definitely when you have some product that completes this symbolism, it becomes a hit. Taste was always there, but when it was highlighted by the marketing, it became a hit.

it is pure marketing strategies, when the stockist supplying different flavors in the market - the sales strategy is to be maintained that all the flavors should be kept by the retailer. When the Free Bottle schemes implemented the unavailable flavors to be supplied against the other brands to compensate the scarcity of the products. Regarding the LEMONY FLAVOR it is a thirst killer and also good digestive resistants are there.  Even Doctors are suggesting LIMCA/CITRA/7UP.. as against Medicated 'ELECTROL' medicated gradient to stop dehydration.....
