Ms Kaladeen is back with a bang :) And Mr. Ziz is his usual candid self!! And i agree with both of them!! :) I remeber the clickity days of the typical type writer and then the electronic typewriter. Work was always done even at that level of development. No cell phones, no extra bills to pay, just the simple black boxed instrument and the jangling ringer. No caller tunes no fancy rings. world still was in touch and work still used to be done. Enter technology and the world is suddenly so much more closer!! :) Its a little scary and yet endearing. Like Ms. Kaladeen says its a tricky question my friend and like Ziz sahab says manual life is just heavenly... :) Interesting answers here I must say

One from the most difficult difficulties which people of old age experience is that they will be finding it very difficult to obtain up the stairs. Some from the individuals won’t be in a position to climb due to their difficulties. People such as elders and also handicapped won’t be able to climb without having others support. The stair lift can provide wonderful solutions. The essential thing is that the stairlift prices will be of the affordable range and you is going to be able to buy them very easily.

Without technology, the modern man become oldage man. The technologies have been brought by humans for better lifestyle and comfortable life. The human-being is not expected in the world without technology. Therefore, technology is a part of the life.

In response to Devi's comment: There is no logical reason to accept that simple and straight people have invented things since no one will give a wrong reason for an invention, think I am right. It’s all about how knowledgeable are we about the technology to really use the technology for our advantage. E.g. Credit card is a great invention at the same time we should be knowledgeable enough to ensure that we are not a victim of fraud. Let me know your thoughts.

Yes life will be straight and simple BUT very slow and limited. It is only because of technology (in various fronts) we are able to do all that we are doing and in so less time and high precision. In my opinion we should use the technology, keep our life simple and not allow the technology take over us and our relationships.

Hi Arun, Nice topic. Are you referring to straight and simple with respect to attitude of individuals. I think it is nothing to do with technology. Ofcourse the way in which people are living in this era is entirely different from past. But is technology is the reason behind people becoming more selfish, money oriented, corrupted so and so. I still believe people can become straight and simple in this 21st century if each one of us introspect ourselves and if we have desire in our minds

I am not agree with the topic as technology has made life simpler rather than tough earlier everything was too tough even for cooking food also we need some thing and technology is a part of our evolution process.to know is the main quest for human and technology has simplified this process.Even to know my views on this topic technology is used otherwise one has to come to me.So I strogly oppose that technology has made our life complex

I completely agree with Prof. Namboodhiri. If technology was to be blamed for the complexities in our life, then why so many battles took place in the ancient times, when technology was not at its best ? I think instead of blaming technolgy, we seriously need to introspect what we want in our lives - wealth or peace of mind. If we want the 1st one, technology will become a bane for us & if we want the latter, it will become a boon.

life will be straight and simple, but it can be possible because the curosity lead to generation of idea its pschological behaviour and bound to happen and by which person needs technology to make thing practically happen fast and so life cannot stop with or without tecnolgy,it can never be happen that without technology life is simple and straight it is like shodow of life which will run along with life. ther is no question of straight or simple life we have to live life simple only if we use technology for our solving problem of our life and to make it more convienent.

Life will be straight and simple if you restrict your wants and desires like an ascetic, and not by denying technology. Technology is only a facilitator. The complexities of our life are created by us only. The larger your desire, the more complex your life. If you learn to live with minimum requirements, and be happy, then you have a straight and simple life. Otherwise, not.

Arunkumar interesting debate. I think life will be very tough and difficult without technology. Earlier days there was no technology so they lived happily but today we cannot imagine a life without technology. We people are mostly dependent on the technology for our daily works. So you can live a straight and simple life by using technology to its limits....... Thanks........
